- You’ll need to source your desired version of the “Upper Bumper” - whether thats a 96-98’ (these are $100 CAD on RockAuto or less from a junkyard) or eventually our UB3R version. Our Upright brackets will be hot-swappable so you can run a 96-98’ Upper bumper and change it out later for our fully fabricated UB3R down the road. These uprights replace all the factory bumper mounting garbage in it’s entirely.
- You could potentially need to source turn signals but honestly there are so many people relocating them, in so many various ways, that I want to leave that up to the end user. Most people are relocating the turn signals already into their A) projector retrofits B) into their corner lamps C) come up with your own idea altogether or D) Run factory 96-98 turn signal housings in the 96-98 Upper Bumper.
**We are working on a turn signal idea as a totally separate project, but it will not be ready for 6+ months.
**We are also making a small bracket if using the factory 96-98 bumper that will allow mounting auxillary fog lights (LED Pods) into the factory turn signal cutouts

Most WIY bumpers are FULL bumpers though, this is essentially only the wench mounting plate...
Not exactly - we have wings, uprights, and other structural reinforcement points. I would not call it JUST a winch mount but it is definitely not a full winch bumper either. It also hasn’t been designed to be full winch bumper.
Didn't even realize OP was from Canada, between international shipping, welding labor, sourcing an upper bumper, and associated parts, you're most likely looking at around $1000+. That's ARB price range, bummer.
RE Welding Labor: As mentioned previously (previous thread page) we have a higher production cost due to all the pre-bent components. As opposed to other WIY bumpers this drastically reduces fabrication time (cost) and also yields a more factory like finished product.
RE: International shipping - This is going to be a non-issue. Shipping cost will be reflective of distance shipped, just like normal. The place these bumpers are being manufactured is about 2kms from the US border. Again a large benefit of the WIY kits is that you pay for shipping on a flat-packed product vs. A fully fabricated item that requires a pallet. (Exactly why IKEA does this with their furniture, among other things) Not too mention our bumper is ~45lbs shipped weight vs. Whatever an ARB is shipped weight.
RE: Upper bumper - They are quite cheap. I have found them for ~$65USD on Rockauto although they are currently low on stock. Here is a link from CarPart.

I’m also willing to bet you can get one from a wrecker or someone parting out their 4Runner for next to nothing (I got mine for a case of beer)
RE: Comparing to an ARB - this is a drastically different product on many levels - aesthetically, structurally, and in weight. Yes they both have a spot for a winch and they both have recovery points. Ours is just half the weight
And not to knock an ARB (I personally love the look of them on some builds) but it has been designed with different objectives in mind.
OP, have you considered having someone in the US cut it and ship it fror you? So those of us down here can avoid the shipping hassle from Canada?
We have strategically aligned with a manufacturing partner who ships to the US on a daily basis. They have years of experience with this with little to no side effects from the customers side, especially considering their proximity to the US. It is drastically a different story shipping from the US to Canada (that IS a hassle) but going the other way is much simpler/easier. That being said, we will always be looking for opportunities to improve our product in design and price point, while keeping quality top notch and manufacturing in North America.
