New 4Runner

So I picked up my first 3rd gen, well I pick it up Tuesday. I got it to keep my 4th gen out of the salt primarily. It's a 2000 sr5 with 176k on the clock. 4x4. Auto. T-belt/water pump done at 153k. Lot's of maintenance records, clean title and carfax. The only things it needs are 1)new antenna and 2)really good scrubbing! I got it for $4k, which around here is a great price. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know the 3rd gen.

I like the 3rd gen purchase, but not sure I can condone it as a "winter beater" to keep the salt off of the 4th gen. Either way looking forward to seeing some upgrades on them both!
