Welcome! It just clicked that "taco" = Tacoma. I'm like why all these people talking about Tacos.

What issues were you running into and was this a US built Tacoma?
Its easier if I tell the whole story. I purchased a 2016 Tacoma, built in Baja, in the beginning of last year. It was an auto and I immediately noticed the irregular shifting behavior that a lot of people are also noticing. Aside from the I had vibrations are varying speeds, but mostly when stopping. I ended up trading it in for a manual because the auto trans was that bad.
The 2017 was the second Tacoma. After 1500 miles the front diff. bearing failed on the drivers side, which is a known issue but irritating none the less. At 2000 miles, during some very cold weather the passenger door would occasionally open itself when going over bumps. At 3500 miles the truck turned itself off on the highway. The dealership replaced the crankshaft position sensor because it was an issue on some of the 2016 models. My sensor was already the updated part though, so that never sat well with me. Finally at 7000 miles the rear diff was leaking oil, which is now a recall. Aside from that it also vibrated while stopping and above 65 mph. The dash and door rattled, not a big deal but made the truck feel like it was much older than it was. I got rid of it because I assumed that there was some lackluster QA on the new Tacoma and given my issues I had a hard time believing it wouldnt have more.
Its a big let down because I miss the truck and I had been so excited to get one. I also let go of a 2011 TTSE FJ for it. The FJ had no issues in 60k miles, hoping the 4runner will be the same.
