New 99 Runner!

hmm i was looking at your running boards. And i dont know if they are just dirty or dull? If they are dull they have this stuff i use on my bumper and boards because after 6 years they start to dull.

It by Mothers and its back to black this stuff realllllllly works i put about 3 coats on my rear bumper and my mud flaps and they looks amazingggg. Def look into it.

Be careful using trim shine stuff on running boards since when the boards get wet they can get real slick with some products.

Welcome. That sunfire red pearl has always been one of my favorites - you don't see very many of them around. Enjoy!

P.S. I see in your sig it says you have the rear locker but it doesn't look to me like you have it. If you did have the optional factory rear locker there would be a switch for it in one of those blanks under your left a/c vent (I make a habit of checking all 4WD 3rd gens for that switch cuz I have a severe case of rear locker envy :D ).

Yea the color has really grown on me quite a bit... I do have the rear locker, :p Look closely in the following picture. It says "rr diff lock" on it so I am assuming I have the locker?

Well this sucks... I went and fired it up this morning and it was smoking like crazy. I checked the coolant reservoir and it was empty. I looked around the engine and noticed that the thermostat looked as if it had been leaking a tiny bit so I got out my torque wrench and I tightened all 3 bolts down again, I can't imagine that the thermostat leaked that much out but I suppose it is possible. That wouldn't explain my smoking problem though. Anybody have any ideas? My only thought is that it has a blown head gasket but it doesn't smoke while driving it, only on warm up.

Before you spend $1.00

Please, before you spend another $1.00, take that stupid car dealer sticker off the back hatch.

If there is one thing that really bothers me is the stupid stickers and/or license plate frames that dealers put on vehicles.

They are not paying you to advertise.
