New and Need of Help!

hey so I've been looking around the forum a little and need a little direction and potentially some help on building. I picked up a '90 4runner handed down from my brother and I'm trying to find out as much as I can and build it the best I can. Its my first car and I'll have pictures below but to my understanding it's a second generation v6 3.0 efi(not sure what that means), it has ~230k miles, rebuilt the starter, and sits on 32 by 11.5 bfg all terrains. so far I've had a few problems and was looking for advice on what to do as far as body, engine, lift, and suspension. also, if you guys could bring me up to speed on terminology like sas and differences in embleming? thanks to anyone who reads this, any help is appreciated!

so far I'm not really sure if I'm missing anything and not sure what this wire to the bottom right is for.

if anyone has advice for battery straps or way to keep a battery in place while off roading? my last bounced out of place and the casing was actually torn open and the strap I got from Walmart doesn't work?

potentially looking to get everything higher for greater clearance and less damage so if anyone can explain the difference I'm body and other lifts, what does what and what's best for what?
