Just had new 2012 Burtman Spoiler installed and am very happy.

The install directions provided are clear and on 1 page. The body shop I took it to didn't install it to the directions burtman provided to make it exactly perfect but I'm not complaining I think it looks awesome and makes the truck look newer.

If you like this visit or give Jason B a call:

Most of the items on my truck I got or you can get from Burtman - grille, tail lights, clear corners & slignals, chrome bulbs and I just ordered the door sills.

Yeah I made an investment in my 4runner but I've had it 10 years, love it and will probably get another 10 out of it.

Looks sick but I can't stop staring at those fugly euro tails.

That's pretty much the easiest way to screw up the looks of any car especially a T4R. I've never heard anyone say man those tailights looks great. They look so out of place.:redbrick::redbrick::redbrick: The spoiler looks awesome though.

ah...to each his own... I'm not a fan either....but I don't think it looks horrible.

The spoiler and rest of the rig looks great though! Very clean!

it depends on color i think, they do look better on lighter color runners like silver and white.

Looks good bro, I think I'm gonna upgrade my spoiler to the new version also. Was never a fan of the cheap mounting design the old version uses.

spoiler

thanks to those who like the spoiler - like I said I'm very happy and think it looks great.

To those who hate the tail lights - I wanted a change 2 years back but lately I've been debating whether to change to the Red & White LEDs on the Burtman site - maybe I will.

your truck is clean... the spoiler looks good. did you have to take it to the shop to get painted or did you just not want to mess with the mounting?

spoiler install

i took it to the shop b/c I was getting other work done so while it was there I decided to get the spoiler and just have them paint it and install it. i liked the old burtman spoiler but wasn't crazy about the brackets so when I went back to the burtman site i noticed he just made the new spoiler available - it's just how the timing worked out.

There are 10 steps in the instructions - Sohere is a summary and you can call jason or e-mail him at 717-469-4130 or [email protected] or [email protected]

put spoiler on closed hatch and use t-stips to stencil the 4 pedestals outlines, use 1/8 " drill bit to drill through t-stipand into hatch (recommended to use unibit that goes from 1/4" to 1 3/8 w/ 1/8 inch increments, open hatch and open 2 inner panels for socket accessibility, drill your led wire hole within your previously masked off area on drivers side (this is where the shop i took it to didn't follow the instructions), peel back red lined 3 m tape, small amt of silicone should be applied to the corner of the inner feet as well as existing holes caused by removing toyota oem rear deflector, line up spoiler and feed led wire thru predetermined hole, using suppiled screws secure spoiler to vehicle using a rachet , pull down rubber wiring harness boot which exposes vehicle wiring - splice the 2 wires that veer off toward 3rd breake light - the spoiler balck wire goes w/ the white & black stripes (or depending on model - the spoiler red wire goes w/ green and white or green and red wire) - splice wires together, use electrical tape and tuck in the excess wire and replace rubber boot back into poistion.

Like I said - I didn't install it I had the body shop do it because I needed to have my truck fixed in 2 other spots so any questions on install; please call or e-mail Jason or check out the burtman industries website - I think he has pictures/ details on install on his site.

Good Lauck!

Does it include a delete for the factory brake light? i dont really like the idea of a second light shining int hat gap on the spoiler.
