Hi all! I've been lurking on the forums for almost a year now. I've spent a bunch of time gathering information and asking a bunch of questions and I finally thought I should introduce myself. My name is Ken and I live in Virginia. I bought my rig almost a year ago and its been a slow process of bringing it back from almost being in the grave. Its a 1992 SR5 and from what I can tell I'm the third owner and definitely the only owner that has cared for this thing. The previous owner was a high school senior girl that did not care care of it at all.:gun4::mad2: She took it to some half wit local mechanic to have all of the work done on it. To give you an idea of how bad the work was I did a quick inspection under the hood when I got her home and was able to pull the belts (all three) over the pulleys by hand without relieving loosening the bolts at any of the tensioning points. I'm looking forward to absorbing the knowledge from everyone on here and building myself a decent trail rig/DD. Nothing to crazy because she won't be wheeled a ton. Just need something I can count on when I decide to go fro a nice weekend in the back country. :naughty:

Wheels and Tires from a 2013 T4R (got the whole set for $600)
New Front Brake lines
New Front Calipers and Pads
New Brake Discs
New Front Wheel Bearings
New Moog Steering Stabalizer
New inner and outer tie rods and adjusting sleeves
New Idler arm
New Pitman arm (What a bear to remove!!)
New Plug, Wires, Dist. Cap and Rotor
To Come Soon:
New Head Gaskets
New Valve Cover Gaskets
New Timing Set
New Shocks (front and back)
New Rear Springs (need to research because I want to raise the rear to make it level with the front and I don;t know where to get them)
New Poly bushings everywhere
Trailer Hitch
Future (not sure how distant):
Trail gear front bumper
Light Bar
Roof Basket
Winch

How She sits now:
My wife and named her "RB" which stands for red beast. Having the 3.slow under the hood I would hardly call it a beast.
