I purchased one of those 60 dollar cai from ebay and everything is installed right, i also pulled the efi relay for 30 mins and now it starts for a second and then putters out, any idea what i might of done wrong, do i need to pull the relay longer? i have to get to work at 630 in the morning so any quick tips would help.

How did you NOT unplug the MAF and install a CAI? The MAF is mounted in the air chamber after the air filter.

Here is what it is, i see nothing wrong, maybe its just too much of a high flow filter, guess ill just call out of work tomorrow and get another kind of filter.

it has nothing to do with the type of filter, dont waste time with that. it should still run with a vacuum line off but really rough, make sure your MAF is plugged in, (unplug it and put it back in for kicks n giggles) go over all the hoses and where they run to the engine make sure they did not come off from the other end, pull the EFI fuse to clear any codes and check the relay you pulled.

go from there.

Edit I FOUND OUT UR PROBLEM! LOOK AT MY PICTURES

YOU INSTALLED YOUR MAF BACKWARDS
take the 5 inch pipe out, reverse it 180 deg and it should fire right up!

You are the man, that was the problem exactly, back to running like a champ. Nothing like waking up at 530, opening this page up and going out there to fix my 4runner and have it work 30 mins before work. Thanks a bunch man.
