New Dasaita Head-unit

hmm... anyone weary about this being chinese made and them stealing your data or being glitchty or bad quality?

No there are millions of other ways to steal my data.
I think the build quality is pretty decent and as for it being glitch my wife’s Highlander has factory CarPlay and it has glitches too. It’s by no means perfect but if you really want CarPlay it’s tolerable.

Hi, brand new to the forum. I just installed the dasaita unit in my 2016 4Runner limited but the subwoofer is not working. I was sent a wiring harness with a green and blue rca that are labeled sub1 and sub 2 but theres no where to plug them in. What am i missing here?

Hi, Did you ever figure this out?

I bought one of these and returned it...it worked fine with my 2011 Limited but I couldn't get the volume beep and button beeps to go away and it made me angry so I sent it back. Nobody ever responded to support requests, radio silence. This is why you don't buy Chinese garbage, Crutchfield sells Chinese stuff but at least they help you get it to function properly.

Looked into these and fb support groups seem to help. It’s just a modified android os with endless possibilities and issues. It’s one of the better looking head units for sure.

I haven't had mine long but having that large screen and google maps/apple maps is a game changer for sure. I love it. Can't believe I waited as long as I did to upgrade that little screen in my 2017.

I was able to adjust the EQ to get a sound I am happy with but would still be interested if anyone had any other information on the sub.

It does have beeps and the UI is a little clunky as an iOS user but overall I am happy with it so far.

You dont realize how small the screen is till you switch it out. I installed a sony 8100 and then back to a 2017 head unit once the 8100 sold. Recently completed a 2022 retro install into the 2017 and love it. Screen is large plus the factory look.

I agree.

Looking at replacing the wife’s Highlander too but that screen was larger than the 4Runner to begin with!

Details on the retro? Assuming biggest cost was finding an HU?
