Hey guys if anyone comes across a rear axle housing with e-locker let me no. I've been searching for one locally with no luck. I want one already with the locker so I don't have to bother with modifying my housing. And if the locker is broken that's ok I will just get it regeared.

So I ended up going with the Lou's turbo. It's a little loud, but I think that has more to do with the resonator being removed than anything else. It's only really loud at 1500 rpm when lightly accelerating. I have a bunch of driving to do this weekend, so we'll see if it mellows out.

Nice! Take some videos?

Go back to Lou's and have them put that tail pipe out the side like it's supposed to be!!

:wtf: is that thing????

It's so it doesn't get crushed. A lot of guys have them dumped before the axle.

edit: The drone at 1500 rpms is getting kind of annoying, if I get on it or go above 1500 it's fine. I think I'm going to call them tomorrow and see what they say.

They'll laugh at you. It's cause your muffler is under your cabin, so it's resonating into the cabin.

I understand that, but they sold me on this muffler over the others because it's supposedly quiet. I straight up told the guy that I wanted no drone and the amount that I'm getting isn't normal even with an aftermarket exhaust. There are ways to overcome the resonating like making a tube off the exhaust behind the muffler or using a bigger muffler (I actually questioned the guy when he pulled this one out because it looked too small). I like the tone of it other than the 1500 rpm drone.

Ah I understand now. I'd like to hear it sometime haha

I'd be concerned with filling the cabin with carbon monoxide, have it come out right behind the mud flap :boink:

@ Alex,
When is the trail ride thats coming up again, the one you talked about in Henniker? And who is going to be leading? One of the peeps that we went with in June or ??

Very cool, you got a fetish for rubbing your truck against trees don't ya :naughty:

Some time you just need to think skinny! Haha. Most of these pics are from he off trails. The main "roads" are pretty wide.

Hey Guys.

Sorry for the Hijack guys.

Yankee trapped in the South here. Born and raised in Naugatuck, CT for my first 14 years, then my father's job transfered to NC in 2000, been stuck here ever since.

Still come up to CT as often as I can, spend some time with all my family up there.

I have a few that would be interested in going wheeling, just wondering where you guys go, when you're next meet might be. IDK when I'll be able to get up there again, I was thinking Labor Day, but since TTORA is having thier annual takeover (Southeast Takeover 8: 8/31/12 - 9/3/12 - Coal Creek OHV! - TTORA Forum) that weekend, probably won't make it. Depends on how the truck is doing....

If any of you are making a trip down this way, or are interested in seeing what we get into here, don't be afraid to look me up on here....

My grandparents own a house at the base of Mt. Snow in West Wardsboro, VT, so I'd like to get up there at some point this year.

Even a meet up with some of the guys in CT to check out the differences in the rigs would be interesting enough to me. I'd love to see the difference(s), if any, in the way we set them up down here, as compared to the ones up there.

I'm currently running a '99 Limited, Locked front and rear, 4.88, 63" Chevy swap in the rear, DR coilovers up front, BudBuilt skid plates, clocking ring, Manual transfer case and hubs, with a set of Falken Rocky Mountain 265/75/16s.

Here's a few pics if any of you see me around up there and want to stop me:

Sweet rig! I'm originally from CT. There aren't too many legal spots down there to wheel. Most of us Boston folk go up to NH.

On an unrelated note- I went to Lou's today. They are going to put in a stock equivalent muffler. I just listened to some of Alex's clips. My exhaust sounds VERY similar. I guess I'm not cut out for an aftermarket exhaust anymore. I'm also having them reroute the tip out the side as I originally requested because, while having it dump where it does helps with the not getting crushed while wheeling aspect of things, it doesn't help with fumes coming in through the back window when it's open or through the pressure vent mounted in the lower quarter. We'll probably be having kids soon after we get married and I don't want the fumes coming in if I sit idling too long. I won't get a fancy tip, that way if it gets crushed, I can just bang it back.
