I was wondering if you folks know of any "VERY light dirt road trails" lol.
I have a completely stock '11, and I'm not quite ready to go offloading, but would love to go thru the woods or something. I'm in western MA

Most of the trails where we go are pretty mild but I would at least recommend an AT tire of 31" or bigger. You also are almost guaranteed pinstripping from branches

It is guaranteed striping, but throw a heavy coat of wax and you should be pretty good.
 
Wish j could make it but this Hurricane has me stuck. I work for the electric company and it is mandatory double shifts until further notice.

I'm think'n it was as you suggested; frozen caliper... I'm going to tear down the front end anyway and be sure all is well. There was that "rattle" that I could not identify either although that disappeared once back on pavement but the whale remains.

Hey ! Never bothered those front fender flares; that was a pleasant surprise! Pretty rigid frame.
