I am looking to replace my 2016 4runner limited stock geolander 20's for these falkens. I am debating the 265's or 275's on 17's ... I do not do any offroading, this is mainly for a more aggressive look and for my daily driver, and I don't want to do any modifications
I dont know much about tires, but someone said to get SL's over LT tires, would these tires be SL or LT? SL would make more sense for me, as they are better for fuel economy and city/hwy driving, but I am not sure if this applies to these AT's? sorry, I am a little confused :/
in the end, I like the look of the Falken's and want something for all year round (4 seasons here in Canada)... would these tires work for that?
Would another better option be to use the same toyota stock rim and put falkens on those? 275/55R20?

They are an awesome tire, i absolutely love them. Snow, ice, road, hot, cold, they are awesome tires. I have been running them for almost 10 years on every vehicle. I have run thru snow storms, ice storms, rain, heat, heavy loads, they are by far my favorite tire and they wear absolutely amazingly. My 2008 4runner has a set of 285-60-18 LRE and i have about 93,000 miles on them and i swear they are going to go to 130,000.
I have had them on my 1ton toy hauler truck, 3/4ton every day driver, 3 4Runners, tacoma and tundra. They are studdable for ice if you drive a lot in the ice and they have freaking great traction in the snow and they outlast every tire i have ever had. The set on my 4Runner that has so many miles, i have only balanced once at like 40,000 miles and they are still smooth to this day. I run out west a lot chasing desert races, which is what my diesel trucks do, and i have run into countless snow storms and ice storms pulling a big race trailer and have always made it home no problem when countless other people are sitting in the ditches and medians. Also been in death valley at 120 in late august where the road temp was 160+, seen the tires be so hot pulling into a truck stop that when i backed up i had melted my front tire print into the asphalt on my 1ton dually. I currently have the General AT/X on all 3 of my current toyotas and absolutely love them.
Your stock tires are 245-60-20 which is a 31.6" tire
You can run them in a 265-70-17 which is a 31.6" tire if you choose a 17" wheel
You can also run them in a 275-55-20 which is a 31.9" tire if you keep your stock wheels
Edit: added pix, also forgot i had pix but Jan 1 2015 there was a massive ice storm that hit west texas. I was headed west for a race the beginning of January. This was a massive ice storm, about 150 miles of i20 was blanketed with pure ice. There were hundreds of 18wheelers and cars and trucks all over the ditches and medians and i drove straight thru non stop. I was in the rain from terrell across to about Ranger Tx, then it turned to sleet. Somewhere between sweet water the temps started to fall and around Midland the sleet turned to ice. From Midland across to Pecos was 4wd weaving in and out of cars stuck sideways in the highway. By the time i got to Van Horn it cleared up and i got back to normal speeds. I bet there were thousands of cars and trucks all over the road and i kept driving, pulling a loaded 30ft race trailer.
