I don't know if it the camera angle or what but that is a dramatic difference! So you replaced with stock size and it looks a much beefier truck, wow. How do you like them, any lift at all? More pictures of the after?

Hey there! I really can't answer as I've done very little driving since putting shocks, wheels and tires on. I'm waiting for my alignment which is scheduled for tomorrow at High Tech Auto in Chantilly. I want to take it to a place that knows 4x4 and lifts. Even then, I only have 500 miles on my 4Runner so I doubt I dove it long enough to really feel what the stock was like. I can tell you it looks awesome and the stance feels really good. I'm in the Sterling area. How about you?

Oh ok, well please report back after you have driven it some. Trick trucks is not far from there as well. Let me know how their work is.

Thanks! Yeah, Trick Trucks, they were the only place with reasonable prices for mounting the new wheels/tires and swapping out tpms.

Looking at 6112 and 5160 with T13 springs. Probably going to pull the trigger on that later this month. Haven't been able to really test the ride, I was driving in traffic and had the stock wheels/tires in the back. I'll report more tomorrow though I only had 37 miles on the stock wheels/tires before I mounted these.

I picked up the T4R last night and went straight to them this morning.

Thanks! Yeah, Trick Trucks, they were the only place with reasonable prices for mounting the new wheels/tires and swapping out tpms.

Looking at 6112 and 5160 with T13 springs. Probably going to pull the trigger on that later this month. I feel Costco was priced pretty good. It was $14.00 per tire/wheel mount including balancing. It was also $14.00 to have TPMS swapped out and putting regular valve stems in the OEM tires for re-sale. Out the door was a little over $100.00 bucks and they feel on point with the balancing. It did take about 2 hours but I was ok with that. I didn't want them rushing jacking up wheels are lug nuts.

Out the door was a little over $100.00 bucks and they feel on point with the balancing. It did take about 2 hours but I was ok with that. I didn't want them rushing jacking up wheels are lug nuts.

I thought that was TT. Looks good! are those Toyota wheels or FN wheels?

Correct! Tires bought at DTD and wheels from FN. After folding down the seats and putting down a tarp, I loaded all 4 tires and 4 boxes of wheels and showed up at Costco right at opening. I actually researched it and saw that Costco had pretty good reviews on tire installation. You must be a member obviously.

I used the Sterling, Costco. Although the store opens at 1000, the tires shop opens at 0800.

So i think i noticed something today. While going into reverse with full wheel lock and a slight dip in the road, it felt as if my front tires were rubbing ever so slightly on something. The ONLY thing it can be at this point is body mount or strut perch? The inside of the tires are super close to the strut perch/assembly.

285s on stock OR wheels, btw. Anyone else??

I do not have that size tire but from everything i have read a lift or level should solve that issue easily with the 285's. Personally I would be scared to put that size tire with out at a minimum leveling the truck. My 1.5 cents worth.

I've spoken with numerous guys who have 285s on stock height trucks and typically the fender line mod is all you need to do. I'm going to crawl under there later today and take a peek at what it could possibly be.

I don't think it came with a plan since tires were not purchased there. I kinda have a shop set up at my house and planned on doing my own rotation to avoid jacking up lug nuts, caliper paint or anything else.

I also can't see how one could have no rub at full lock on stock hight with 285's. I'm at 1.75 and 1" (no wheel spacers) and had slight rub on front fender corner and middle mud flaps. I did fender trim which cleared by about 1" at full lock. I had a 4x4 location do their best on alignment/caster which almost cleared the mud flaps. I still had to go home and heat those flaps and press them against body mount best I could. This worked, clearing me about 1/4 inch (at best) on mud flaps. I'm now totally rub free at all steering wheel positions in both driving directions but expect slight rub on body mount/mud flaps at hard compression during off-roading.

I seriously think it's the strut assembly, not the body mount. I have a solid 2 inches or so of clearance from the flap/mount area. Hmm.

TRD Wheels, if you're interested, I bought from a Toyota dealership and their prices (shipped) was the cheapest I found (including ebay).

I'll take more pictures, just got my windows tinted and was able to drive more with the tires. So far I'm not noticing any difference. They're pretty quiet and ride really well.

Thanks man. I like them a bunch, I'm sure I'll test their wet road capability this winter, here in the PNW. No lift... yet.

One trick on buying the TRD wheels- Costco auto program. I got the service/accessories coupon from their site and got 15% off MSRP at the dealership. ($731 out the door, Portland dealer, no tax)
