How do these tires ride on the highway vs the OEM tires?

Measured clearance w/ 255/80R17s and 5100 lift @ 2.5"
Figured I'd post some crude clearance measurement improvements I got from upgrading to new Wildpeak AT3 LT255/80R17s from worn ~3/16" tread depth Cooper Discoverer AT3s LT265/70R17 and adding Bilstein 5100's @ 2.5" lift.
I measured by simply sticking a tape measure between front skid plate right beside jack point and ground. I measured similarly off the center of the rear diff. I didn't get too techy by checking naunces like tire pressure and whether the gas tank was full, but I'm guessing those naunces are well within the error of my crude way of measuring. I assume tire pressure was around 35-40 psi all around for all measurements.
Front skid plate went from about 8.5" to 12.5" clearance, and the rear diff went from 9.25" to 10.5" clearance. I'd estimate there could be roughly 0.25" error per measurement (0.5" total error in calculating actual lift acheived). Error is simply from eyeballing where the bent tape measure would contact the ground if I wasn't bending it, and from probably not holding it perfectly vertical (as well other nauances like tire pressure and vehicle weight distribution). Also, I'll say that I'd driven the 4R around for about 2 weeks after the shocks were installed, so hopefully they're fully settled by now. Although, given that the 4" difference in front end clearance is more than the difference in tire diameter and Bilstein's advertised 2.5" lift, it's possible they'll settle more. The truck certainly looks level though (w/ 1.5" Daystar spacer in rear). Only other thing to add is that I haven't realigned the front yet, but will that actually change the clearance significantly?
Interesting, I haven't seen a difference in gas mileage driving 65mph on the highway, but that's only after the first drive.

Just ordered the 275/70/17 C's from Discount. I went back and forth a ton, between P-metric 265's, due to the weight, however I wanted a 275 and I wanted a C load so these fit the bill. Putting the 6112/5160 set up this weekend, tires next Wednesday. Will post pics and my initial thoughts sometime next week.
I love my 275s so far. So happy that I didn't need to do a BMC either.

New A/T 3W LT275/70/17 c-rated tires
These definitely run large, as I have a Toytec boss lift and I get very minor rubbing on the mud flaps at a full turn backing out of the driveway. They look great and I’m super happy with them. They are heavy, 14lbs heavier than the Geolandars my Runner came with. Obviously this is to be expected, as the Geolandars were p-rated 265’s. So far so good. I’ve only had them a couple of weeks now.

Curious to know if 275s will fit on a non-lifted ORP. I don't mind getting the 265s but would prefer 275s. Not planning to lift mine any time soon, if ever.
Sorry bud, i wouldn't know. I had the Eibach kit installed before I slapped on the wheels/tires.
I'm sure some adjustments will need to be made to avoid rubbing.
With my setup, I had to push the front fender forward a bit, trim bits of plastic and remove the front mudflaps.

I just put 275/70/r17 Falkens on my T4R, and I need to trim my front bumper a bit. I have TRD Pro wheels and Bilstein 5100s all around, and still have some rubbing.
Got the 275's installed yesterday, suspension went on over the weekend. No rubbing, no balancing issues (yet)
Love the way the 275's look, if I run in to any issues with them I will be sure to post em.

I recently put the Falkens on my new 4runner. I stayed with 265/70/17s and am running TRD wheels and 5100s all around with the front set to 1.75". I got rubbing in full lock reverse and did the fender liner mod. Still have some rubbing on one side and need to go a little further..
Love the Falkens. I've had BFG ATs in the past on other vehicles and figured I'd give the Falkens a try, given the price difference and great reviews. Would buy them again based on my experience to-date..

I recently switched from Nitto Ridge Grapplers (285/65) and got onto the ATW3 wagon. Decided to upsize and get into 295/70/18. They're definitely a quiet tire in comparison to the Ridge Grapplers. They handle well in the rain/wet weather.
The downside is I'm also experiencing steering wheel shake between 70-80 km/h (45-50 mph). I'm going to get them balanced to correct it and hopefully no more shake.

What's the front of your 6112 set to? I want to keep a slight rake, but thinking i'll go Dobinsons front and rear coils
My rig is non-KDSS, 6112's are set to #5/#3 which is the 1.6" setting.
If you are looking at a full Dobinson's set up, I would reach out to Crikey Mike on here via the Dobinson's thread or on his website Exit Offroad are the Dobinsons Suspension Experts in the USA - he'll be able to spec out what you need based on your desired outcome.
I’ll let you know in a few days. Stock height ORP, got the 275s on Trd pro bronze wheels. I kinda just went for it, will be getting a lift eventually but in the meantime not sure how it will work out. I’ve seen mixed messages if they will rub or how bad they will rub. Tires come in tomorrow morning and will probably be on by the weekend.
