New Falken AT tire (A/T3W)

Just installed these tires in P-rated form and I'm very impressed. Very smooth on the street and highway.
Also the price is hard to beat. $560.00 for 4 tires and $61.00 mount/balance. The look is aggressive in person but doesn't feel so while driving. Anyone looking for stock tires in NYC area, let me know. Thanks!

First rotation is coming up. 4,400 miles of 90% highway, 1% city, and 9% off road (mud, rock, washboard trails, and some forest roads). I have to say - I am impressed with everything but the fuel economy. However, that should be expected with this kind of tire. I dropped between 1.5 and 2.5 MPG overall.

15k+ miles in and still very satisfied. 285/70R17 size P Rated. They seem to have gotten a bit louder than the first 5-10k miles but still nothing compared to most aggressive tread tires. This may be caused by the weather not being blistering hot recently so I'm riding with the windows down more. They have handled highway, city, mountain roads, snow, mud, rock, aggressive terrain and creek crossings without issue. They'll be getting another workout this weekend at ATR.

Yessir. Since she is 90% pavement queen, a daily driver, and endures roughly 34,000 miles a year; I have to attempt to get quasi-decent fuel economy.:bowl:

Yep. I don't overload it nor do I go on trails that require an extensive amount of puncture protection. So, LT/E rated tires are not necessary for me.

So far so good. Just hit 500 miles since the install and I have zero complaints.
Stock size P265/70R17. Would recommend strongly to anyone looking for an affordable good A/T tire for daily driving or the occasional off-road.

Weight and roll resistance. They definitely hit your fuel economy going uphill/upslope or from a stop.

I ran these same tires and also noticed about the same MPG decrease......but I was running 285's. I can't imagine why it would be that much with the stock size.

Still loving my Falken A/T3W tires and will most likely purchase them again. My Tacoma is coming up on tires but I'm thinking since it stays home more these days on just putting a mud tire on it. I really like the look of the tires and they ride really great and quiet. Wife even commented on how great they were and she doesn't usually do that.

I second this. Dropped about 2.5 mpg with LT285s. Otherwise though absolutely excellent tires.

I've ran these in stock size since January. Coming up on my second rotation and I absolutely love them. They rub a bit on my 13 SR5, even with a 3" lift. Nothing a little messaging with a heat gun won't fix.

I just bought another set of these in 285/70/17 Load Range E for $669 shipped to my door after a $75 mail in rebate from Discount Tire. I would have bought the P rated for $613 shipped, but I plan to do a fair amount of off-roading in this new Runner I just got yesterday. I don't think the E rated tires are needed on this type of vehicle, but if I slash a sidewall out in the middle of the desert I'll be kicking myself in the ass for buying P rated. I really wanted to try the Toyo RT's, but for half the price in the same size and E rated, the Wildpeaks were just too good of a deal to pass up.

My P 285/70R17 come in today. I'm in SoCal and rarely hit up sharp rocky trails so I figured it should work as my stock tires. I personally prefer sand dunes (oceano dunes svra) so I thought the lighter tires may work better.
