New Falken AT tire (A/T3W)

Between my cargo basket and these tires, maybe 1 mpg lower. Keep in mind mine is an early 5th gen. Different than the 14+
I'm running the SL load range. I'm not sure why some people run the E-rated tires, as they're 11lbs per tire heavier per tire. Perhaps for added plys.

I have stock size 265/70/17 on SCS Ray 10 (offset -10) and I had rubbing from the front mud guards. So I took those off. I do still rub but only on full lock in reverse with a load more than only myself (passenger, or gear) more so on an a grade.
I have P rated tires as the truck is daily driven and is only planned on lighter trails and overlanding. I couldn't be happier. I only have around 300 miles on them but they are quiet, comfortable, and feels like they make the truck more stable than stock deulers at highway speeds.
My MPG probably dropped 0.5-1mpg after installing, but I drive like I have to hyper-mile after owning an accord hybrid (50mpg... I miss that car) so ymmv.

How much lift do you have in the front? Got any pictures to share? I'm considering a similar setup with 6112 set at 1.85" in the front

Just ordered the 265 70 17 p rating from discount tire. Was able to get them to price match the eBay discount direct pricing (no tax) and also ended up getting the certs. Will also be able to use the $75 rebate that goes into effect this weekend.

I'm suprised you still had rubbing even with the 2.5" lift. Those 265's look more like 285's though!

I was too. I knew these ran bigger so thats why I didn't go 285. I wanted to wait until the 275s came out (I think I read somewhere in this thread that Falken was going to release them later this year) but the Ray 10s were sitting in my living room for two months.
It's funny, people keep asking me if they're 285s but I think its just because of the contrasting color of the wheel and faux-beadlock.

The local discount tires are out of the 265/70/17's. I'm not finding any stores locally that carry that size. Best place online to grab a set shipped?
Can they not order them for you? I went to my local discount tire about the Wildpeaks in stock size and they wanted to put me in a different AT tire they had in stock so they wouldn't have to order anything, but I told them I really wanted the Falken and they didn't have any problem finding them at a nearby location and arranging them to be shipped.
Have them order them for you. If not, go to eBay and type in discount tire and the the tire name. That should give you a good deal through their vendor on there.

Discount Tire Direct is their online eBay store. You can still get the $75 off promo when ordering on eBay. The shipping is free and usually no tax. I've ordered many sets of tires from their eBay store.

I'm running P285/70/17 on 2016 TE wheels I had major rubbing on my JBA UCA (HC model) with some minor rubbing on the fender and mud flaps. I added a .75 spacer to clear my UCA till I can get my FN wheels. I still have a little rubbing on the P-side mud flap when they compress. But love the tire's they work well in the rain, I'll be trying them out this weekend in OBX sand.
Went out to see Shelly island off of Hatteras ran 4HI not aired down without any problems, till I parked. A squall came through and when I went to move to a different spot, I had a lot of wheel spin not much movement. Dropped into 4L backed out without a problem. If I was properly air down I don't think I would of had any issues.

thats a good point. Probably save even more if you did it this way because of the tax

I see the Wildpeak 285/70r17 A/T3W come in two styles. E1 and SL. SL is cheaper 8lbs lighter with 5% less tread depth than the E1. What are you folks going with when choosing between the two? The lighter tire with less tread depth or heavier with more depth. Both have 33 overall diameter. What's most important while choosing between the two?? I'm going with 1.75 bilstein lift in the front and bilstein in the rear with 1" cornfed spacers. I'm also going with the FN f(x) pro wheels. At first I was going to go with BFG K02 275/70r17 but I'm liking the reviews on Wildpeak and price. Also, 285 Wildpeak (SL) are 5lbs lighter than the 275 BFG KO2s. Looks like with the FN/Wildpeak I can save on weight all around. Thanks for the input.
