I was going to order from tirebuyer since they have a 10% coupon right now and Falken is doing a $75 mail in rebate, so I called up my local Discount Tire to see about install cost. The guy asked where I was getting the tires from and they ended up price matching tirebuyer with the 10% discount and lowered the installation price by $20.
Looks like I will have a new set of tires tomorrow! Just went with the 265/70s.

Discount Tire will always PM any competitor pricing, just as long as they can verify it. I bought my set from tirebuyer as well but Im not installing them for at least another 2-3months because I still have about 5k miles left on my Terra Grapplers.
I know it is a 5th gen thread but figured I would throw in my $.02 for the Falkens. I had a set of original KOs for about 60k. These ride so much better than those.
Those Icon wheels look great on your vehicle!
Really considering eventually getting a set in the far future but I wish they had more offset (less offset? whichever one brings them out).
Got a set 265/70-17 P rated on order from American/Discount Tire. They price matched Tirebuyer 8% off coupon,(couldn't find a 10% coupon) plus a $75 rebate offer. They wouldn't match the local Tire Depot install price of $52 though.
I figured $526 out the door was good enough for me in so cal and I like there are so many american tires around if I need any service.

What is the weight of these? its not on the website that I could see.
Listed at 57.1 lbs according to their website for 275/70-17 C-Rated 6-ply tire
46.5lbs for 265/70-17 SL(P)-Rated 4-ply Tire

I really want to go 275/70/17 but the weight of all of these does seem like a big jump. Glad they come as C instead of E though.

I have about 5000 miles on mine (stock size, P-Rated). I have had zero complaints on the road, dry, wet, or very heavy rain with standing water. I really can't tell the difference between them and the stock tires. I had them up in the snow this past weekend and they did great cutting fresh ruts in heavy wet snow that was occasionally up to my skid plate. I could motor along nicely in just 4hi, with no tech gizmos active, and I never really felt a loss in traction unless I mashed the throttle, even in some places where I know mud is under the snow (most was snow over gravel on logging roads). I easily could have gone much deeper if I was willing to plow with my bumper. The real evidence was that my wife never got nervous.
I think these are the best tires I have run for a combination of onroad/offroad/snow that isn't a mud terrain or something more extreme. Haven't had the opportunity to try them out on ice.

I got the Wildpeaks on a few weeks ago and have done quite a bit of snow and ice driving on and offroad. They are great so far, haven't had any traction issues.

Yeah, LT285/70R17
It's really hard to justify the cost of the KO2s after having the Falkens. And they really are more aggressive looking in real life than in photos...for whatever reason.

Found a problem though. In a 285 they only come in a P metric and an E load. The KO2 comes in a C Load. [emoji20]
