Hi everyone, my name is Zac. I've been lurking for a while but this is my first post. There are a lot of sweet Runners and great info on here so hopefully i can contribute.
I started wheeling back in high school and always had toyotas, then when i lived in the mountains i got into jeeps for a few years. I sold my 5th Wrangler an 05 unlimited rubi that i had most of the parts collected in my garage to build it cause we had a baby on the way and figured a wrangler is probably not the best vehicle to move car seats around in. That brought me back to toyotas. First choice was 1st gen double cab but they seem to bring a much higher price so decided on 3rd gen 4Runner:biggrin1: I got a very clean 200o sr5 and had it pretty much where i wanted it then got to busy to use it and sold it. Regretted it before it even left. So a few months later i found the color and exact options i wanted, only it was in AZ. flew down and picked it up. I love a road trip to get a truck! I built the same bumper i did for the first one and built the same sliders, now working on the rear. Still need to save for the Toytec ultimate and 285s again. hopefully soon.
I'm excited to meet you guys and do some wheeling! I have learned a lot and got many (too many) ideas from you all, can't wait for more.

I guess i should post a pic of the 4Runner. The dark red is the old one and the bright red is the current project.

I'm betting that's an ARMOROLOGY bumper,, IMHO the VERY best bumper I've seen, oh and welcome

Actually it is not from Armorology. I had an idea in my head for a few years what i wanted it to look like and I guess it turned out pretty similar, but it was built by me in my garage after lots of card board templates. lol. Armorology makes VERY VERY nice stuff I've have seen some of his work up close when I worked at Avenger 4WD. Jed is one of my idols when it comes to fab work, along with Sean from (what used to be) Metal Shop Motorsports. Thank you for the comparison, I consider it a compliment!

Very nice work, what you charging?

Thank you for the compliments and the interest! I was going to start a different thread for the bumper build, wasn't sure where though. I have only done a couple for others and have been wanting to do this kind of stuff since I was like 10 years old and never got the chance. So went and bought a welder and taught myself at home, if i could do this for a living... that would be a dream come true. Lol.

Should I message a est on what i would charge or just post it up? I wasn't really trying to be a seller or vender on here right now so I don't want to break any forum rules.

As far as doing one for other years, I guess I can, would just need a truck for mock up.

I'm sure there was a better way to answer each of you (clearindicision and
Quatre Coureur ) but this is my 2nd day on a forum so I'm still trying to figure that stuff out.
