Hey guys! I just discovered this website about an hour ago and fell in love with what I've been seeing. I spent most of that time browsing the forum thread dedicated to people posting their 1st gen 4Runners like mine!
My Runner is a 1986 22RE 4Cyl 2.4L 5-Speed manual. There havnt been too many major modifications to it other than some bigger tires (31's), a decent enough sound system, a CB (must have for off-roading, am I right?), a winch on the front, and some extra gauges for air/fuel ratio, tachometer, and a battery gauge. Other than that, everything is as it was when it rolled out of the factory! I've own it since 2006 when I was a junior in High School. I've done some pretty good off-roading with it a few times. I will die long before this baby does! I will never get rid of it even when I do eventually have to get a newer vehicle (Tacoma or Tundra) in a couple years. It will still be my toy! I do all my own work when something needs to be repaired/maintained and have put a very large amount of blood and sweat into keeping it running like a champ!
