Hey guys!

I sold my FJ last Wednesday and picked up a new to me 2014 SR5 in Magnetic Gray Metallic. I loved the FJ a lot but I couldn't be happier with my decision!

Mods will stay light for now at least lol. Looking for sliders (why are they so expensive???), skids, roof rack, and stuff like tints and emergency warning lights. I am also debating about a cargo drawer system.

Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. Oh, I live in Mahopac (Putnam County).

Not even 48 hours after purchasing my SR5 I get my first scratch/dent. We had heavy winds that blew the gate open from the garbage container that hit my drivers door. More annoying than anything. Now I have to get a color matching pen to touch it up.

Can you post what you use to touch it up? I have a magnetic gray also and I'm just waiting for the first big ding/scratch.

Yea, I was livid when it happened, but then my wife calmed me down haha.

I haven't had a chance to touch it up. I'm going to go to my friends shop (possibly today if I get time) and will take a picture of it afterwards and post it here. If he can't touch it up I'm going to try to find the color code and see what magic I can do.

Any meet and greets in our area or mod days? I'm looking to learn more about my SR5 and meet some of the people here. Is there a run at Rausch that people get together for our just whenever people feel like it?

You might want to look at the FJ Northeasters...good group of guys, and they do several events a year.(meet and greets and trail runs). If it fits into the schedule....shoot me a pm and we can get together, either for a project, or stitch and bit ch over coffee or beer.

My last ride was an FJ. I've done a couple of their May runs and I'm going to this year's run with the 4runner. I wasn't sure if this site did anything like that.

I'd like to see the repair when it is complete. I'm trying to decide which color to get and since it will be going offroad, I'd like a color that can be fixed without too many issues.

Time will tell. I'm sure by the time I get it to where I want it I'll probably think about getting a newer model and start all over hahahaha.

Thanks for the welcome! I should be going to Toyota within the week (pretty busy right now) and will hopefully have a simple solution. Hopefully most of the pinstripes from wheeling, if any, will be fixed with a nice polish.

Thanks for the welcome! Seems like there is a hand full of 4runners in our area. Not sure if people are into the meet and greet thing but maybe I'll try to set something up if there is interest.
