This is making me consider putting LEDs in my Highs as well. I just bought the Aiden Customs LED DRL strip and I think the color of the bulbs you have might look great with them.

Its my favorite and first thing thing to do whenever I get a new car. Great mod! It looks so much better at night!

Hello, no they aren't full strength when in DRL mode, but are very bright. In High Beam mode it is even more so! its extremely bright then. I would say after the conversion, the highs and fogs should probably only be used in off road situations.

I was about to ask that question as well. Thinking about getting the Razir for High beams since I already have the XD one in low beams (mainly because i didnt want to drill a hole in the cover).

the HID kit was about half the price of the led coming in at $60 vs the LED with a cost of $120. But they have good specials near holidays and if you use "ronin" u get 15% off.

Im not sure what the outcome would be if you were to compare sets of LED to HID that were equivalent to each other in terms of quality, construction, and price.

But I can tell you these are so much better than the HID kit I had before, that is without a doubt. These are so much brighter and the light pattern is much more even and pure.

One of my RAZIR led fog lights failed while i was filming this video at the end during the walk-around. thats why I didnt show it. But HID extra has great service and has already taken steps to get it replaced.

I just received a new Razir LED fog light to replace the one the went bad. I never even had to ship back the bad one. They have such great service there.

I just got my kit (H11 for low beams, 9005 for highs) and installed the highs. I think I may take them out. There's both a noticeable flicker in DRL mode and they're also probably too bright for driving around with. I'm going to put one of my halogens back in to compare in a bit.

I don't really want to be "that guy" driving around with annoying headlights/DRLs.

Thanks for making the video, Jason! It helped a lot! Based on the info about failed bulbs, I'm concerned about the quality of stuff from Super Bright LEDs. I found Philips X-treme Vision in the 194 size. Looking at those, do you think they will work well in all the 194/168 applications? They're pricey, but I'd rather buy once and not have to deal with it again.
 
For those also looking for reliable LED headlights, The Retrofit Source carries the Morimoto line that is similarly priced to the Razir. I know Morimoto has been around a long time and has a good rep. Not saying Razir doesn't, but the OP mentioned having one fail.

UPDATE: The Morimoto LED headlights will not work for 5th gen low beams, due to the angle of the housing.

Hey there,
They should work as long as you swap wedge base for wedge base. Flat to wedge seems fine but i had an issue trying to use a wedge in flat base socket. Im currently experiencing terrible service from superbright leds which is a shame really because I liked them a lot and have been a customer for years. I need a new place to get leds myself. I may try to see if HID extra has a bit higher quality selection than the previous kit i bought
