"New Grease for the Solid axle"

Not quite

You can't establish something that isn't true.
That would make it...... A lie.
Weird.

In reading up on this the word would technically be deception

The OED definition of deception (that is, other-deception (Baron 1988, 444 n. 2)) is:

To deceive = df to cause to believe what is false.

You have been deceived Rixxer, So Yes close but no cigar Rixxer, the word would be deception,

Now the difference between a #1 and #2 grease is quite apparent, but it may require a "Master of the Obvious degree"

Once the difference is pointed out to you , or shown, its rather easy to determine grade, Now it may get a little tricky in the greases that they describe as #1.5 grade, but Obvious jump between #1 and #2 to the MOTO

To the deceived Oblivious, not so easy,

#0 grease in steering link

Uneek, What I am about to establish is intentional mis information from Toyota Information services, dept,

So hopefully I can do that, pretty cut and dry, Now that Rix has run his course and bowed out, hopefully I can show you, establish how Toyota information Services uses sites like IH8mud to propagate this dis information,

As far as their motivation for doing this ? How? Why ? I would like to establish that here, but would like to know what guidelines as a Moderator you would like me to follow,

Thanks Frank

Uneek, in this article I wrote (initially for Toyota owner magazine) on this Jeep magazine

Jeep Articles / General (Short Fiber Grease) - MoabJeeper Magazine

Is the reference to #0 grease in the steering link, also take note of what it says on the cover of the book,

Toyota motor Sales,

Well I see your back, Okay , Well in your case Rixxer as far as this goes,

"You can't establish something that isn't true.
That would make it...... A lie."

You show pictures of #1 grade grease in the knuckle and say look the Toyota sales book is correct,
It is not a lie in your case but brainwashing, I do believe that you do think that the #1 grease you post is #2 because of what your books say,

So in your case Rixxer, its merely brainwashing, I have never really seen a fist hand example of this till now, but plain as day,

In your books Rixxer the ones you follow without question, It states to use a #0 grease in the steering link,

NIGL #0 plain as day, now the sample you have is not the base indicated to use in the books for the steering link but the correct grade,
For me this is overall more important than the base persay, unless dealing with compatibility issues,
So clean out the next steering link you run into and install the #0 grease I gave you,

How bout that Rixxer, this is your information, states to use a #0 grease in the steering link ????

Now as far as installing this in a conventional grease gun, does not work all the good, What I have taken to doing is putting it in a special tool used to force grease into Zerks that are plugged,

Its made by Inovated Products of America or something like that, I kinda hemed and hauged about getting it but I am glad I did, whenever You run into a Zerk that will not take grease, fill these up with a light oil or solvent and smack it with a hammer, forces the old dried up grease out and you can install fresh,

And now this is what I use to install the #0 grease in ujoints, ball joints, steering links ( have Toyota sales backing me on that one) and various other applications,

Sorry about the lousy picture but you can look it up here is the little speal on the deal

Product Details
Innovative Products Of America IPA7862 Grease Fitting Rejuvenator Tool Features and Benefits: The grease fitting / joint opener will allow for a clogged grease fitting and / or joint to take on grease by injecting a light viscosity oil into the grease joint via the zerk fitting, thus breaking up and removing any dirt, rust or debris. The purpose of this tool is to free up the joint and the fitting enabling them to be greased. When using the tool, be sure to bleed any air out that may be trapped in the tool body. Once the tool is installed onto the grease fitting, only a tapping of the piston is required to open a joint. Loosens hardened grease in joints Opens clogged fittings Warranty on the grease fitting cleaner is limited lifetime Wooden storage case Flex hose Large bore
Yeah, ram whatever piece of junk is blocking the zerk right into the bearings.
Yes part of the steering link specs a #0 grease.
It's not sodium either, frank. It'd lithium as well.
This doesn't help you.

As for the grease identification you OBVIOUSLY have a tremendously hard time with reading comprehension.
I've typed out the same reply to your rambling idiocy I don't know HOW many times now, and you STILL don't have the ability to grasp what's being said.

My $.02:

Frank - Your posts aren't winning you any supporters with the conspiracy theory references and the incoherent sentence fragments.

Rix - Why are you so afraid that he might be right? Sign his agreement and prove him wrong - if you can.

Otherwise let this thread die.

I dont need any support,

Good enough .02 cents, I will try to write better, Thank you for your constructive critism,

And I dont need support but 1 one is all I need, then others will follow and say they knew all along, Just how this stuff works.

Have you ever used it ?

Have you ever used a #0 grease for the steering link,? and the tool is mostly for ball joints, tie rod ends, and such, sure it may push in a bit of contaminates but heck of a lot better than no grease @ all, Run into all the time where the grease is dried up solid, and no matter how hard you try cant get any thing in there,
So Good tool, and no Rixxer not for anti friction bearings, king pins, tie rods, steering links,

And sure u joints with needle bearings but better to get new fresh grease in it than nothing,

But as far as the #0 grease in the steering link, I bet there has never been a #0 grease in your shop in any other container then the drain pan fixing rigs for axle seal failure,

Cept now a used tranny juice jug sitting on your bench with #0 grease, the lil grease bomb, careful who you show it to Rixxer ,

I'm not afraid he's right, I KNOW he's wrong.
For a fact, I know he's wrong.
His lying and sheer stupidity piss me off.
if he man's up and posts what he's trying to sell, it will become perfectly clear.

You are afraid, scared, and all you have to do is sign and become the new leader,

I do intentionally agitate, and confront, this is the best known tactic in deprogramming, repeatedly,

What I am selling, or I should say have (no longer selling to Toyota owners) is a #0 grease, Theory #2 weighed heavy on my mind and do not think the capacity is there to use this grease, cept in your case Rixxer, I do think you could, with minor guidance,

taste test ?

Now back to this whole stick the finger in the grease and feel it, now I can see that maybee, but the smell test ? I really dont know what you could determine by that,

Just something I noticed, observed, Now there are folks that even go so far as a taste test, kinda crasy

Can't Service Birfields ?????
Went in to the local toyota dealer today to get some trim clips I broke trying to fix the leak in my front pillar (sunroof drain) and while I was their thought I would ge tan estimate on Birfield service everyone here seems to recommend on a newly purchased used vehicle (97FZJ80 with 99K). So I ask the service manager how much? He looks at me kinda funny - says you mean the front differential or the transfer case? I say NO - the big ends of the front axel where they connect to the wheel - the birfields? He says - let me go ask one of the mechanics..... comes back 5 minutes later and says they don't get maintinance service, they are "permasealed". They just fix them if they wear out or break! Am I missing the whole boat here, or should I just RUN AWAY from this Toyota service dept.????

Jay

No no dont run away Jay that is very good advise, the best I have ever seen or read,

If it aint broke dont fix it, leave the thing alone, if you open that thing up, for service the super secret black vodoo goop will be very hard to find,

If it aint broke dont fix it,

Although I have found the black goop, I call it backwoodsgoop,

Very good advise from Toyota, so not all of them are grease swapping gremlins, classic,

YEAH RIGHT. Leave em alone so's they can leak all over the place, make a huge mess, and eventually get grease and gear oil ON YOUR BRAKES.
FANTASTIC idea, frank.

Whatever Rixxer

YEAH RIGHT. Leave em alone so's they can leak all over the place, make a huge mess, and eventually get grease and gear oil ON YOUR BRAKES.
FANTASTIC idea, frank.

Hang on a minute here Rixxer, I am working on this

1957 The first prototypes of the Crown are exported to the United States; Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc. is established.
1959 Motomachi Plant begins production.
1962 Joint Declaration of Labor and Management is signed.
1965 Toyota wins the Deming Application Prize for quality control.
1966 The Corolla is launched; business partnership with Hino Motors Ltd. begins.
1967 Business partnership with Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. begins.
1974 Toyota Foundation is established.
1975 The prefabricated housing business begins.
1982 Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. and Toyota Motor Sales Co., Ltd. are merged into Toyota Motor Corporation.

So in 1957 Toyota sales was established, and then in 82 merged into Toyota Motor Corp,,

So Why do we still have Toyota Motor Sales ?????? in Torrence ?

Not my idea Rixxer,

YEAH RIGHT. Leave em alone so's they can leak all over the place, make a huge mess, and eventually get grease and gear oil ON YOUR BRAKES.

Toyota production, not my idea, but the thing is Rixxer it does not leak, more than class 1 , coating the ball,

What makes it leak is following the Toyota sales book and adding a incompatible grease,

Deal with it Rixxer, these are the facts of the matter,

Separate subsidiary

So Why do we still have Toyota Motor Sales ?????? in Torrence ?

I think I just figered it out Rixxer, Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc, is who brainwashed you,

A separate Entity than Toyota motor Company, that answers to a separate higher entity,

These are your leaders, and the ones who brainwashed you, Find them !

You're being an idiot again.

Grease is not interesting,

You're being an idiot again.

No Rix, I am trying to help you, and in the process of helping you, I am helping others, to avoid repairs to the vehicles that are basically fabricated by a Evil Entity known as Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc,

That have allowed you to mis diagnos a simple aspect of our Trade,

Grease,

Again, if I would have gone thru your same education and worked @ only a Toyota dealer, I would be in your shoes, saying "No Way" but you have been allowed to mis diagnos a problem ,

This dis information is further propagated by "propagandists" of Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc on various forums, I have stepped into these Dark places and have found you, a fellow mechanic, and I am going to pull you out,
