New guy with a couple of questions about my 2015 TE

Hey all. Just picked up a 2015 TE (non premium).

Love it, but have a couple of questions.

I swear my backseats are locked into place, but they have a lot of play. This is the first SUV I've delt with that has reclining backseats. There is about an inch, inch and a half of forward to back play. Don't seem sturdy at all. Is this normal?

Second. Should I have gotten the sliding rear cargo tray in the back? Every pic I've seen of a new 4runner has it but mine. My window sticker says nothing about it. Is it an option or standard equipment? I have a non-premium trail.

Congrats on your truck. The sliding tray is an option so if its not in the back, and not on the sticker/invoice you are good. About the back seats, from the way you describe it that seems much looser then mine. When mine are locked into play there is def. not 1" of play back and forth. I would suggest trying to recline them and see if its locks more in another position. I have seen threads here complaining of the rear loose seat but never paid much attention as I figured they were just "complaining" about something.

Bummer about the sliding tray.. I really wanted that and totally overlooked it.

I'll play around with the seats some more.

The rear tray is an option. Some like it. Some don't. Its not economically added so if you don't have it you won't likely add it. If u want one find an aftermarket or trade for one with it. My seats were not loose like u describe. I'd go to the dealer and compare to others. I haven't had the rear seats put up since it was a week old. Mine is a utility truck for us and with no kids the rear seats aren't used much.

Well the main reason I wanted the tray was to level out the cargo area with the seats down so I could sleep back there. Without the tray there is a nasty uneven lip back there that'll make trying to sleep back there a literal pain in the back.
