I just installed my new Headlights a few hours ago by myself.. ....here are some pics . The runner is pretty dirty right now so I just took a few shots so you guys could see the results. I know some of you are not gonna like it but feel free to give your opinion regardless...
Over the weekend when I give her a bath and detail her I will post better pics..day and night .
I am pretty happy with the headlights.
Next are the tail lights , window tint and the Rims...thinking of painting the stock ones black until I can get the new ones.

I like it, its a good alternative to those with pre 06 head lights to get HIDs in there if you'd like.

Take some night shots!!

shoot the light to a wall and see the cutoff line, i can tell its not great like stock projectors on the 06 and up, well u can always open those up and put some hid projectors, itll be alot better, so far have u have any problem seeing the road?, also with those angel eyes, i replace them eith some ccfl rings, last longer and brighter.

Thanks for the advice,,..I havent drove the runner yet at night...I just installed them a few hours ago...and yes...I tought about the HIDS and I am going to get some later on.

Wow. Those look pretty good.

Thanks Clemsonfan15....yeah they look nice. I just can't wait to get the new rims and tires...I got to wait about 6 more months until I can get them. So I don't know if it worth for me to pay $200 to paint the stocks for now or just wait to get the brand new ones. The reason I am waiting that long is the fact that I am saving for them and I want to pay them off right away...I do not want payments. I have enough bills already....lol...

I wouldn't spend $200 to paint your stock ones. That's just throwing money away in my opinion.

I'm sure that almost covers the price of a tire for your new rims.

Too bad that they just don't have regular projector lights without the halo's or the LED's on top. Not really my cup of tea, but hey to each his own.

Very cool.

I see this style headlight on BMW's and was curious if they actually served a purpose. They definitely look cool, just didn't know if they function any differently or the halos just work as daytime running lights.

No offense man, but those lights are complete RICE. Reminds me of the little BS civics I see rollin around. Halo's are for BMW's, super rice to put them on a 4runner

there are aftermarket 2006+ replacements available now.

No way? You got a link, not that I'm going to buy them or anything.. the beam pattern on these aftermarket headlights are TERRIBLE, it cuts down on light output by at least 50% or more.. and not to mention they are Rice Cityyyyy! But I am glad you went with the black ones over the chrome ones, they match the bugshield.

So if I were to get the 2006 projector headlights for my 2005 would I need any special pieces, or would they fit with no problems or mods needed?

There is a thread on the site which lists the parts needed to install 06 projector style lights into a pre 03-05. In addition to the headlight assembly, you need: New bulbs, wiring pigtail for the drl (or directional) and the notched filler piece below the headlight.
