New Limited, here we go.

Hello There!

I've been nearly obsessively lurking on this forum for a few months now. As soon as it became clear that the 2013 wouldn't be changing I decided to pull the trigger. Special ordered it without all the weird, useless, overpriced options that Southeast Toyota likes add to push the price up. Just Nav and the sliding cargo deck. Plus, I really like the blue.

I haven't done anything to mod a car since an RX-7 in high school/college but you all have inspired me with your awesome trucks. I'm thinking grill, headlights, CAI, muffler, bull bar, lift and tires. Really can't decide what to do with the XREAS though.

Congrats! I am right behind you tomorrow when I order mine. Won't see it till October in all likelihood but I am psyched.

Congrats... have a mag gray one, just a few months old. If I'd been patient I'd have the cargo deck, think it's the proverbial "cat's meow." Nice rig!

!!! Congrats :) !!! You wont regret it .. I have been contemplating selling my Camry for a third Gen 4R. I love these things.

Lurker as well....untill Saturday. Opened this thread and saw my 4Runner's twin!

Loved the blue as well. I was trying for a TE but the wife won out with a few differences that meant something to her (climate control, heated seats).

Mine seemed to take forever. Still feel that I did alright on price, even though ordered. 8.3% off MSRP, no fees.

what´s measures of your tires?

A very anemic 245/60 R20

get rid of it and add some coilovers.

I was thinking ICON but is it really a better "on street" ride, or does $2k just add alot of mental cushion. Handling is pretty decent with the XREAS now.

My wife had a good amount of influence for the Limited too. I was pleasantly surprised at how little flack I'm getting about mods. :D

You mentioned getting new tires and I'm curious what you want to get. I though it was such a weird size so I looked on Tire Rack and all they have is Duelers, Geolanders, and Blizzaks. Are there more options out there or is this what 5th gen Limited's are stuck with?

You know the LE is 7" rims, not 7.5". Your options just got smaller, have another look. Your basically stuck with the 245 Yok's or crappier 245 Bridgestones.
Hence my set up in signature.

Congrats on the purchase. You will be very happy with the car. We bought our Gen 5 in July and as of this weekend, turned 7,000 miles.

The only real thing I've done so far is replace the stock wheels/tires. I'll warn you now, the stock wheels and tires are an odd size and worthless as trade-ins. I bought the car in Arizona and the following day traded in the wheels and tires to the local dealer in Utah. From memory I think they gave me $500.

I went to 18" wheels and wider. The Truck looks great and is more dependable off road.

I'm shopping for rock sliders and a rack, but not an urgent thing.

I'll be watching for your posts to see what you've decided on.

Wade

Ps. I'll add a photo from the truck from our exploration last Saturday.

I was only able to find two tires that fit on the original wheels. I decided to replace the wheels so I could change tire size.

The ol' cooter heater almost lost me my TE for a Limited, but Salsa Red won my wife's Peruvian heart. Having said that, those creature comforts in the Limited are more than worth it.

LMAO. That was worth the price of admission. Classic, cooter heater...
