Hi Folks:

new 2020 limited here.
love the truck..

few questions
1- tire pressure had 42 psi on all four and spare, readjusted to 35psi. Not sure why it was that high.
2- is the 5k maintenance mandatory or required? do you really need to rotate the tires that frequent. what else is done through that service that I can check myself?
3- if I change my own oil on the 10k intervals, does that affect the warranty at all? I like to steer away from dealers as much as possible..
4- there was a small black plastic piece wrapped in nylon bag in the cargo area with some screws, not sure where it belongs
5- have 3rd row seat, and I noticed that it does not come with floor mats, correct?
6- ordered me some nice H11 and 9005 Philips for upgrading the bulbs, can not wait to receive them, after reading tons of posts about the headlight upgrades, going to stay with halogens for now.

great forum thanks....

2) "Typically, tire rotation is called for every 5,000 to 7,500 miles" so yes they should be rotated that often. I rotate mine every 5k miles.
3) It will not effect warranty.

I'm gonna give my dealer one shot at the oil changing the oil and filter. I did 5k service with them and I wasn't happy with the results. I'll probably start doing my own services if I'm not happy this next one they do.

2 and 3) Agree with RedRunner_87 on rotation and warranty. The separate service manual covers what's done at each interval. Suggest you stick to it, particularly while under warranty, but everything is essentially a DIY. I have 50K miles and at least 1/3 wear left on my OEM tires. (Will upgrade to 275/55/20 when replaced.) I have a great, reasonably priced dealer so was taking advantage of the Toyota Care service dealer coupons while under warranty. Oil changes, rotation, etc. were only ~$75. Afterwards change my own oil and just keep filter and oil purchase receipts as evidence of maintenance.

4) That is the front license plate holder. (If it's the same package that came with my 2018 Limited.) Use the self tapping screws to attach to front bumper/grill. Suggest forum/web search on options on how to mount and there are several options owners have come up with not to drill into the bumper. Luckily I'm in a state that does not require a front plate.

5 and 6) I have a 2 row so don't know about the mats. Have stock headlights but did upgrade all the interior bulbs with Firefly LEDs which I've had about 18 months with no issues and the clearer "white" light is super.

Hope this helps and enjoy your new wheels!

Dealer dependent, but I got mine aligned post lift and they backed into a sign pulling it out of the wash. Wasn’t supposed to be washed. Repainting rear hatch at 700 miles. In general I do as much as I can because I know I’ll do it right.
