New LX570 pics

man I hope this doesn't carry over to the LC. I have been seeing a lot of these funky front ends on Toyota/Lexus revamps. I wonder how this will go for the 6th gen 4runner.

I'm not a fan of the recent Lexus front ends either. I like the '14 5th gen facia refresh, but if they go this direction on the next 4Runner I can't see how they could make it look good.

What is amazes me is that Lexus crams all this extra stuff into their flagship SUV models and none of the rich folks who buy one know how to use it. 4wd, transfer case, ride adjustment, hill assist are foreign words to them. Lexus might as well drop all of it and keep the price tag the same since the rich fools would still buy it as a status symbol.

It looks like some space age shuttle from the old Battlestar Gallactica series.

I don't think there are enough buttons on the steering wheel for my liking.

yeah, spindal grill...hate it. liked the 1st gen GX460 (down from 470) but this thing seems to get bigger...someone is feeding them bad info about that front.

as for the inside...i dont get what they are going for. and i hope to dice that the LC doesnt move in this direction.

and the new Rnnr...that would be a dog gone shame if it were to...

i dont even wanna think about it...glad i got my 14 5th gen...

This thing was never a looker to begin with. With Toyota's latest designs, I wasn't expecting anything appealing. At least the interior looks nicer.

lol that big honking screen with no cover is just a washed out POS. I mean the 4runner has hard enough time with our 6.1 screen being washed out in the sun.

I was assuming you could actually use the screen. My phone looks just fine in bright sunlight with no cover so it can be done. Eventually Toyota will get it right....maybe.

I guess I'm in the minority. I love it. The spindle grille is better looking here. I do HATE how automotive manufactures are going for the "aftermarketing looking " infotainment screens. Looks like crutchfields wet dream. Anyway, definate improvement over the previous generation.
