New Member and a braking question.

Hi everyone,

I'm new (as a registered member) but have been lurking from time to time on this board and I really appreciate the many informative threads.

I just got back from a nice cruise down the coast and to my dismay felt a familiar shudder from the front as I applied my brakes going down a hill. I've replaced the front rotors for the very same shudder about a year and a half ago. I do the majority of my driving on freeways and really do not use my brakes that much, certainly not long enough to get em heated up!

I can't believe I need to replace them (again) already but a mechanic suggests the possibility that the rotors are warped! Last brake job I specified std organic pads, confirmed by the usual brake dust buildup on the rims.

Any thoughts, oh wise group?

Sticky caliper, maybe? My rotors warped on a new Avalon after an emergency/panic stop (I swear, I almost hit this woman who darted out in front of me across traffic.) that activated the ABS. It was the only time I experienced ABS and it scared me - stopped the car quickly though.
