Huuuuullllloooo!
Been lurking in the shadows as a non-registered member, reading up and researching. Most excellent information! The wifer and I finally took the dive yesterday and bought a 2004 4Runner Limited Edition V8 in Black, with the usual options (blah, blah, blah, etc...). Will be picking up the vehicle this Saturday from the dealership.
I will have to say this though, my buying experience with this 4Runner is quite negative. Came really close to buying from a local dealership in the Northern VA. area called Koons Tysons Toyota (am I allowed to name dealerships?). Man, I swear I know why they call them "stealerships" now. They tried to rip me off on all sorts of stuff (2nd time I tried buying a vehicle from them, should of learned the first time). I finally got fed up and went to a place called FitzMall Toyota. It was a no haggle place and I got a better deal than haggling at the Koons "Stealership". I paid less on the vehicle and everything associated with it. If anyone in the Northern VA./DC/MD area is looking for a vehicle (new/used, Toyota/Subaru/Honda/etc...), I highly reccommend FitzMall. The folks there were laid back, really nice, no pressure and gave me the best deal without me haggling. You can PM me and I can give you the name of the salesman that helped me. The guy was great! Knowledgable about the vehicle, gave good sound honest advice and never at any point pressured me to buy the vehicle. Which unlike the Koons Tysons Toyota place, man they kept on pushing me to sign and buy from them. So glad I didn't buy from them because they would of taken me for at least $1K!
At any rate, can't wait to pick up the car and take it for a cruise. Finally got something to haul my trailer and motorcycle! Yeah! Of course it's going to do the usual grocery/furniture hauling thing to. Hopefully, it'll be a baby hauler in the future, that's if I can convince the wifer! hahahahahaha!
