New Member, few questions (255/75 Duratracs)

Tested last night to see if my spare would fit in the spare tire location. It did not. I hoped it would but I think it doesn't because I have the V8 hitch. Maybe it will fit after I get some wear on the tires. If not I need to figure out a long term solution because I like this tire size so far. For now I am going to run with it in the back.

Just got my 255/75 duratracs installed.

That looks great! bummer about the spare tho. Didn't realize there was a difference in the hitches, it's pretty tight on the 6, I have about 1/2" between the tire and the panhard bar with the tire pulled as far back as possible. Basically I'm stuck on a 32 unless I want to do a rear bumper...

I'll bite...

I'm not running a spacer lift, my suspension was pretty much shot when I got the truck (153k) so I replaced with the Toytec lift. Running the spidertrax spacers and 255/75/17 Duratracs.

Honestly, I really, really love the setup. Tires have been great in mud, snow and rocks. I have the P tires, so I do worry about the sidewalls a bit, but so far even with the rubbing I've done on them, nothing's happened.

I get ~17mpg around town and ~20 on the highway, running regular.

Looking around, I sure do get the fatty envy and would love some nice big meaty tires, but I just can't justify it since this has done so well.

im pretty sure the v6 hitch you can fit that spare. you might have to air it down a fraction or have the hitch out of the receiver though. theres def discussion on it out there so you might want to confirm elsewhere too

255/75/17 mounted on everything stock 2008 Sport with no issues or rubbing. Happy with them so far - as quiet as a set of regular all seasons with less aggressive tread. Look better with lift but don't think they look silly without - my main goal was minimal impact to mpg.

The only rubbing I had was on the fender liner in the front when backing up. I did the move the fender liner forward thing and has been fine.
