Hi everyone, i'm about to buy a 2000 sr5 4runner for expedition/overland use, and i've been reading this forum as a guest for a couple of days and ii has been really useful!

About me; im 21 years old, studying at university and my current daily driver is a 2012 suzuki jimny (modern version of samurai or sj or sierra, don't know how it's called there) after y crashed my 2000 TJ wrangler against a tree...

I am not new to 4runners, my dad have got a few of them, and since the first we all loved 'em!
the first one was a 1995 second gen sr5, then in 2008 he bought a fourth gen 4wd sr5 after been using for a few months a 2wd sr5. Then a 2009 fourth gen limited. keeping with toyota in 2010 we changed to a 120 series land cruiser prado, it's not as "luxurius" as a 4r, but it's superior offroading i must say!! and finally after the prado he used like for five months a fifith gen limited (now that was a wonderful suv, couldn't care less about not being that much a tough truck since it's nice ride and comforts)

well thats my story haha, i know how good vehicles toyotas are, specially the 4runner, so that's why we decided to buy one for a little of expedition use. decided for a third gen after looking some first gen and realizing that despite their awesomeness, we couldn't find one in really good shape. Plans are 3" lift, 33" tires in 8" rims and a winch bumper, just keeping it simple.

hope you guys could help me in some questions i have, cheers!
