Hey all!

New member here from the east Texas area - specifically Jacksonville, TX. I am a firefighter/paramedic here and am married and have two lab pups, one is almost two and the other just turned 3 months old! Big fan of music, fitness, and mountain biking(my newest obsession).

My 4Runner journey began just a few months ago. Before I was always a Jeep guy, I've owned 6 wranglers and always enjoyed them but I've always kind of had the 4runner bug. I came from a 2019 Camry SE. My wife and I decided to take advantage of the used market and sell our nicer and newer Toyotas and buy less expensive, much older ones.

The objective was to find a Toyota under or around $10k. With these things in mind, I knew exactly what I wanted.

I don't have a name for it yet, but this is my 2007 SR5 with the 4.7L V8. It's got 195k miles from one owner!

Excited to be apart of the 4Runner community!

Welcome and congrats on finding one with the V8, those are becoming so rare nowadays to find one not beat to hell

Thank you! It wasn’t an absolute must have, but after test driving one I did become partial to the V8. I found several nicer ones with the V6 but went with this one just because of the ownership history, service records, and the V8.

Good for you getting the V8 - that should be fun!!

Living in east TX, if you have any bigfoot stories, I'd be glad to hear them as I have an open mind on that topic and often listen to bigfoot podcasts while working on my vehicles.

Good lucking 4runner. I just started the search for something similar in the Dallas area. I am looking for an 06-08 V8. I still need to do some research to determine what options are good vs bad, etc. I do know I want a v8 and prefer one without a sunroof as it seems like they have issues. But, I could be wrong about that. Just something I have noticed as I start my search. Any particular reason you went with a 07?
