New member from Poland

Hi there. Just bought 4 weeks ago a 1997 4Runner. It was quite an unexpectable purchase - an opportunity not to be missed! I knew the truck very well for at least 10 years - it belonged to my friend that was it's first owner. The truck has 113k mi on board and the 3.4l engine works perfectly. There is some rust under carriage due to salted roads (the former owner used it in Europe and drove a lot in the Alps) but nothing spectacular. Hope to restore it to the state as from it's first day. Certainly will have some questions to you, folks, as going deeper in the mechanical details. Here is a picture the day I bought the truck.

4 Runners are not numerous here (Europe). That's obvious - it's a pure american product. So to find some spare parts will not be easy. I'm not considering here engine and suspension as 4R have a lot of mecanical parts common with L90 or LC Prado but things like bumpers, plastic stuff or some electrical petty details. Anyway - there are a lot of work to do (I won't bore you with all the details) and I'm just at the begining of the long road. Glad to make it with all of you.

I don't speak Polish (except for piwo or Zubrowka), but my wife is from Lodz and her father still lives there. We will be in Poland in May for two weeks.

I'll keep it in mind. Last time (after my wife's mother's funeral....so different that here in the U.S.) we took train to Warsaw and stayed at the airport Holiday Inn. Better that traveling to Chopan the morning of the flight.
