My wife has always wanted a 2nd gen 4runner, and I happened to find one with a blown head gasket for cheap so I went and picked it up yesterday. It is a 94 4x4 with the 3.0/auto. I am going to throw a head gasket in it (timing belt and WP were changed 11k miles ago) and see how it goes.
Hopefully next year I will be swapping a 5.3/4l60e in it to give it a little bit of power since it will be my second vehicle for when the weather is bad. I drive a 68 chevy shortbed with a 5.3/4l80e swap in it and just don't like driving it when the roads are covered in salt or snow.
I'm sure I will have a few questions but the forums seem to have pretty good guides on swapping HG's, just figured I would throw out a hello!
Here she is coming home last night. My wife hasn't came up with a name yet, but I'm sure she will come up with something!
