Hello from the cold and snowy capital of Canada!

I only started looking into 4runners a couple of weeks ago then I found a 2007 SR5 V6 at a local Toyota dealership. Took it for a test drive and felt great driving it. They even had service history going back to 2010 and said they have been servicing it since 2008 when they sold it to the previous owner.

This is my first SUV, so anything 4x4 related is new to me. My last daily driver was a Mustang. It handled winter well, even a day we had a 20" snow storm but that really isn't what it was made for.

Hope to learn a lot about 4runners here. I look forward to contributing what I can in the future.

I've only driven in the snow one day so far. Different feel when in 4hi since I'm used to driving a RWD car for the last 4 years.

Since I have to do a u-turn just before home I set it back to 2hi a couple of blocks away then hit a snowy stretch of road and the traction control had me almost stopped, couldn't avoid wheel spin and it would just keep kicking in. Had to be barely on the throttle to move.

Took it for a run down to NY state just because today. I'm still amazed at the comfortable ride on the highway.

Thanks again for the welcome everyone.

Had to take the Mustang in for service this week and I managed to pick the day with the worst weather since I bought the 4runner Snow followed by ice pellets and topped with a layer of freezing rain. The day I really would have liked to be driving the 4runner.
