Love the Stormtrooper look. I'll have to show him your truck. All the blackout pics I showed him were darker colors. Only thing pushing me towards 4th gen is the availability of side AB.

I like the look of yours with the 2.5/1.5 lift. I assume the pic I posted is more than that due to 20+" wheels. I don't like the idea of spacers, so that pushes me to lift coils and shocks. I think I saw a kit online this weekend for $700, just can't remember where (adjustable Blistens?) If I go with the Blistens, I can look at SR5s in addition to Sports cause they will improve the ride also?
That keeps me at 17" or 18" wheels, depending on tire selection for no rubbing. This will be more of a DD so I shouldn't have the big sidewall Off-Road tires.

The crap doesn't bother me. I have no choice but to post pics because I can't tell the extent of lift and tire size from a pic and that is the only way I can start the build plan.
Most of the people who don't go hard core trail, don't seem to put details on their mods so its hard to tell what I am looking at. I went through alot of the truck of the month pics, but the build info just isn't there.
After cruising this site all weekend I can say most regulars don't realize how much information there is here and deciphering it can be rough.
Luckily this will be a longer term project for us to get him comfortable with working on a vehicle.
No problem. I appreciate the compliment. I don't think that the picture you posted is more that 2.5" lift. You can actually fit up to 24" wheels on these trucks with no lift. It's all about tire/wheel ratio. Wheel size goes up, side wall height decreases. We've got a very active member (riceandpho) with a 4th gen on 22's and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a lift. You can use fitment guides on tirerack.com to see what fits. I needed a lift to fit mine because I went up in overall diameter from 30.5" tires on 17" wheels to 32" tires on 20" wheels when I had my 2.5/1.5.
I really wouldn't rule out the idea of a spacer lift/level if you're looking to lift. They'll save you a lot of money and doing a full suspension upgrade is overkill if you're not going to use it off road. The factory suspension is very sufficient for daily driving and spacers will not affect your ride quality. Drive one and you'll see. You may be talking about the Toytec/Bilstein lift, but $700 is a killer price if so. Even so, you're talking $700 vs. $150 for a Daystar 2.5/1.5.
As far being able to look at SR5's as well as Sports, I assume it's because you're interested in the X-REAS. Yeah, do one or the other, if you're set on upgrading, just get the SR5 and forego paying extra for the Sport suspension. Even if you did get a Sport, you may find that you scrap that system for a traditional aftermarket system eventually, depending on it's age. But you mentioned being interested in side air bags and I'm not sure if those are standard on any models or optional on all of them, but you may find them harder to find on SR5's... I'm not sure about that one, but I don't think mine has them... I could be wrong.
Also, a more generous side way will offer you more protection off road, but it also can yeild a smoother ride on road. A smaller side wall will improve handling on road, but offer little protection off road and will provide a rougher ride on road.
