New Member, New '14 TE

Hey guys! I've been lurking for quite some time, finally figured I'd post since I now have my T4R.

I purchased a black '14 TE last week (no KDSS) and I. could. not. be. happier.

Full tread-plated bump-out sliders from Budbuilt have been ordered already.

She's already filthy and I love it. Minnesota winters will do that.

Blizzaks en route as I write this. I think I'll just throw them on the stock wheels and get some nicer rubber and wheels come spring/summer.

Question: how long do you guys think it will take ARB/BudBuilt/etc. to figure out bumpers for the new front end? Relatedly, will current 5th gen rear bumpers fit? I kind of want to get the extra weight on the truck before I lift it so I don't have to readjust after the bumper installs.

BD or Rigid LEDs coming soon as well.

I'm kind of excited, if it's not apparent.

Congratulations Scingilli, looks great! However we're going to have to deduct 50 points for showing a dirty '14 T4R, when you started with a black Trail then drove it through white snow.

Salt....whoa, good luck with that. In your area can you have the frame or bottom sprayed with some type of sealant to help prevent the salt from creating rust?

I plan on getting the undercarriage/frame hosed down with Line-X as soon as I can.

The product we often see pickup owners line their bed with? Interesting idea, what does something like that cost?

Second question do you have to do that right away, or is it possible to do later. I ask because I'm going to take a T4R and keep in a tropical area where rust can be a problem too. However that's coming later and I'm not even sure anyone where the vehicle is now would offer that service.

Yep, same thing. People up here have it done sometimes. I've even seen trucks Line-X'ed up to the rocker panels. I'm in the process of getting a quote now, but I'd imagine it's in the few hundred bucks range.
