New metally challenged owner

Warning: My last 4WD was a 91 Ford F150.

all regular service completed by dealer(documented)

I do not understand the lighting. When I switch to 4hi I get the flashing green and yellow signals. I do not know if I'm in 4WD or not. The steering is heavier is all I know.

4LO: is a flashing light with the beep.

Locked / unlocked: Cannot feel any change whatsoever w/ no indicator lights

VSC: SUCKS! got stuck in a pothole.

I've read the owners manual and still do not understand. When your done laughing please let me know what's going on.

you gotta put it in neutral to switch into 4lo, and sometimes 4hi... if it is flashing it means that you arn't in 4wd. Beeping means the same thing.

All of that is covered extensively in your owners manual.
