New owner - 2 questions

After it rains there is always water draining out of the driver side back door when I open it. I have only noticed it with that door. How is it getting in there. Here is where it is draining from, you can see the water mark.

looks like it was designed to drain there but I dont get it



My second question - Does this bolt to connect frame to body?

To the first pic, I would guess that's how water drains from the doors window. It's gotta go somewhere when it rolls down the glass and some enters the door it stays behind the plastic barrier under the door card and is routed to that seep hole.

No clue on the second one, what corner of the car is that or what angle is that rather?

Second pic is right behind the front passenger side wheel.. You can see part of the fender to get a little better orientation

1) I've never seen water drain anywhere from inside my vehicle, including the doors!

2) That bolt looks 'odd'. I've been under mine a number of times, don't remember seeing anything like that.

Did your 4R have a flat in the 2nd pic? Rim looks like it is on the ground, maybe I am seeing something else.

It's weird like the water in there drains when I open the door after its rained. It won't let water out when the door is closed.

Door drain,perfectly normal as they are on the every vehicle doors I've ever seen dating back to the 60's. The outside window seal is not water tight and the reason for the second set of seals and the vapor barrier inside the door to keep water out of the cab. Look at your other door seals to see if it's blocking the drain when the door is closed,and thus draining just when you open the door.

That bolt is one of the 8 body mount bolts that do indeed connect the body to the frame,but it seems to be excessively long .Mine are long but I don't think that long but hard to really tell from pic . Is the one on the other side the same length?

I just checked my SR5 and I got the same bolt there, it's sitcking for about 2 inches. The bolt is not that shiny though : )
