Just ordered a 2007 4Runner. Limited 4wd V-8 Nautical Blue Metallic. Navigation system , Rear air suspension, X-Reas, moon roof, side curtain airbags, rear spoiler, daytime running lights.

Said I will have one of the very first allocations for 2007. Should have it by October. It will be wrapped in plastic when I see it and the body shop will de - badge it for me while I watch. Somebody there must want the emblems.

I am excited and at the same time wonder how this vehicle can cost so much! I never spent this much money on a vehicle before. I knew before hand how much it was going to cost, but it really sinks in when you actually have to pull out the money. The worst part of a new baby is that first chip or ding.

I spent exactly $127 over invoice Edmund's.com. Spending that much money makes my body hurt. You can price it out as you know my options. I would just write the amount but I'm just getting over my nausea from spending that much money. Like I said knew how much the runner cost but taking out the money is a different story. Gas prices must be making sales a bit sluggish because I did not even have to shop around, or dicker on the price. This sale was quick and easy. People purchasing a 06 model should really get great deals.

Im sorry, I am a little confused... are you asking them to debadge it? Or are they doing that because they want to?

I live in a area where we get lots of snow and they salt the roads like movie popcorn. I asked them to debadge it because I am worried about salt collecting there and it makes it easier to wash and wax the vehicle. They want the letters and they are doing it for free. So I am very happy, I thought I was going to have to do this myself.

Congrats. The waiting begins. I've waited three months for mine. I agree, it's exciting to have this fine piece of machinery, but also it hurts to look at the bank account and find one large chunk of change gone.

Post pics when you take delivery.

Why did you guys get a 2007 when there have been no changes? You could get a better deal on an 06 I would imagine.

The 2006 is one year old, yes thats correct it is a year old. It is worth at least $10,000 less then when it was brand new. State Farm my insurance agent told me it is worth a lot less money now. If you get into a bad accident and total it you will get about $10,000 less for it because of it's age. That was the reason I chose a 07 model. If your going to keep it for a very long time, and through good luck it does not suffer a major accident, the initial one year loss will not make a bit of difference to you. Since I can not predict the future, I would rather start off with a brand new model.

If buying a truck makes you nauseous, just wait until you buy a house!! :D

Bought first house in February and bought my 4runner in May (first car purchase, previously driving '93 my dad gave me)

I was actually move nervous buying the truck because of the unavoidable depriciation. As long as we avoid the 2nd coming of Katrina, I think I can't lose money on the deal I got on my house.

Already purchased a home. That was an investment, and will go up in value.
My new expensive 4Runner will be worth less money every year. That is what upset my stomach. $40,000 is a lot of money, in 5 years the Runner if I am lucky will be worth $13k,dam I just got nauseous again.
We need toys in our lives, to help us enjoy life to the fullest. It just sucks to see hard earned money sort of disappear.
