anyone have pics of an AVIC D3 install on older 4runner?

Does anyone have pics of an AVIC D3 install on older 4runner? I have a 99, and the double-din mounting position is lower in the older style - I would like to see what it looks like before ordering.

Also, don't want to have to spend the extra $$$ for the N3 just so that it can tilt up and face the driver more....

yea they got it down to a grand for price by taking out motorization and what not... still a hell of a deal.

$1000 for avic-d3
$180 for bluetooth
$20 for 4runner dash kit

$150 deck/navigation install
$50 bluetooth install
$50 misc labor for amp bypass etc...

Which dash kit would you recommend for the JBL single disk headunit size? Or is it something that would require custom work?

Total I'm at 1450 before tax. With tax in NC it puts it around $1550... the only thing I left off is the harness because I'm not sure which one you need. No more than another $100 for even a peripheral interface. But where you are spending unnecessary money is on the 3 yr extended warranty...

Go to a local shop... labor is lifetime and generally speaking their warranties are cheaper than through big companies like CC or BB.

I FOUND IT ONLINE FOR 749.00.CALLED MY BUDDY AT TWEETER,HE WILL INSTALL FOR150.00 PLUS NEEDED PARTS FOR MY JBL AMPS.

I havn't looked in ages but I don't recall Abe's of Maine or Cartronix being on Pioneer's list of authorized internet dealers. It was pretty much Crutchfield, Bestbuy and Circuit City who was on that list.
