New Prinsu Rack No-Drill Option

7/8 rack installed
Installed the Prinsu 7/8 rack today. Very straight forward and a lot less stressful when you don't have to drill (for me anyway). I'm still waiting on the 1x1 bar for the slot behind the sharkfin. That arrives on Tuesday and I can upload a photo of it then.
The build quality is excellent and overall I'm happy with it. It's very sturdy considering how light it is. My only "complaint" is that I wish the wind deflector sat a little snugger to the roof (especially on the corners).

2 Extra Crossbars for Prinsu Roof Rack for Sale
If anyone is needing 2 extra crossbars I have them. Ordered 2 extra's and ended up not needing them. They were $28 each. I'd sell them for $25 each + shipping.

FYI...Zach told me that the 7/8 rack doesn't have a solution for a light bar in the wind deflector yet and the one he sells for the full length rack doesn't work with the 7/8th rack.
About ten weeks. But I ordered on the first day, so I'd guess that delayed things a bit (as I'm sure there was a flood of orders).
None that I've noticed up to 55mph or so. Haven't had a chance to get it on the Interstate yet.

Has anyone tried one of these with a Gobi or Baja ladder?
I wonder if the accessories from any of the other makers using the extruded rails will fit.
I want full length, but not sure I want to drill any holes in the roof. Not that I have to deal with rain too often, but it still scares me.

Yep, i have a Gobi ladder and the Prinsu...not even close to hitting each other. It works well together.

Trying to decide between the Ecotechne and the Prinsu since Gobi is so expensive. Much prefer the look of the full length but also really don't want to drill. Has anyone who's gotten the full length Prinsu had any issues with drilling?
I didn't have any issues with the drilling portion, but I did have a rivnut problem. It was very difficult to turn the bolt the collapse the fitting. The threads stretched and the top of it galled out. I had to drill out the top inside and then ran a tap down it to clean it out. This was the 3rd rack I've been involved in installing and the only rivnut issue we had. I'm not trying to scare you off, but there is a chance for problems to arise.
Worst case scenario would have been dropping the headliner and cutting the bottom off and starting another one. That would not have fun.

i have the Ecotechne right now. But will probably be ordering Prinsu to change things up. Nothing wrong with the Ecotechne. Fast Shipping and all from them!

Thanks for letting me know... I appreciate it! Looking into 7/8 as an option... but the full length looks soooo nice... sigh.

May I ask why the change? Just want something new, that's all? How long have you had the Ecotechne? Any pics? Also, any rust as some have reported? How many trays/crossbars do you have on? Sorry for all the questions lol!
If a boat can have 20 odd holes in the hull and decks and still float, you can adequately seal up a couple of holes in your roof. The full length rack looks so much better than the 7/8 in my opinion. I'd be happy to share the knowledge we have acquired in our 3 installs.

I do. Not every hole on a boat weeps water. Usually only the ones below the water line. If your roof rack is suddenly below the water line, you've got much bigger issues than a couple of leaking holes!

a few months? Have you observed any wind noise from the wind deflector gap or a decrease in MPG after install?
