I recently purchased a SwitchPro 8100 back in Late November. However, Switchpro just released info on their website that the latest version has the option to dim light outputs (70,50,30 & 10% light output) on your LED accessory lights (I really want this feature), 2nd trigger option and a volt meter display on the App.
I called Switchpro and here's what they told me (BTW, great customer service!):
1. They will not take exchanges and a I will need to purchase a complete set if I wanted the new features.
2. It is not possible to mix and match an old rev programming switch with a new rev controller.
3. The new "Rev.2" was actually released and sold in September of 2016 but it was not made public as the official new Rev 2 would carry a price increase. So to be fair to the customers, the price would remain the same until the official release.
4. To determine if the system is the newer updated version the Controller (engine compartment unit) will have "Rev. 2" on the lower right of the SwitchPro sticker - see attached picture.
5. The instructions for the new features may or may not be included within the kit. However, an online instruction will be made available within a few weeks. If needed before then, you request the PDF instructions by emailing SwitchPro.
