New Rims + Tires!

NICE

Nice rims, now i know what to get when i buy new rims. If you ever whant to sell them, shoot me a PM. If you do sell them i can send my nephew to pick them up. He lives in Hamilton ON,

what did you do with the tire pressure monitor systems in the stock wheels if you dont mind me asking? And im assuming you just left the stock wheel/tire the way it was?
 
Yeah, left the TPMS sensors in the OEM rims / winter tire set up.
I did ask the dealer about installing them in the new rims; he said he would try but likely to cause a bigger pain / mess than either of us wanted.
At least the low pressure warning indicator turns off when I park next to the old rims in the garage...

Why did you not want the negative offset? I wanted to get the polished DC-1's personally with those same tires...
 
The negative offset would push the wheels further out from the wheel well ( sticking out from truck ).
Installer said this was illegal in Ontario ( debatable, certainly not enforced by the looks of some of the Dodge Rams around here )
Secondly and most importantly I was worried about increased stone chips along the sides of the vehicle caused by stones kicking up and hitting the character lines around the window box and fender flares. ( The tires extend to the very edge of the wheel well now, and I've already noticed an increase in heart breaking chips in these areas )
As long as you can get passed this issue, I do agree the Di*k Cepek DC-1 is a sweet wheel, and reasonably cheap too.

Fair enough. I wanted them precisely for the wider stance. Try buying some bulk 3M clearbra material off of Ebay. You can get it in different thicknesses and it's pretty easy to install. That should alleviate the road rash.
 
How much clearence do you have between the upper conrtol arm and your wheel/tire? I just got wheels that are 18x8.5 with a +18mm offset. If I calculated right the new wheels should extend 5/10ths of an inch further into the wheel well and 1.5" further out. I can barely fit my fingers between them stock, so its going to be real close.
 
MKW RIMS

they look great! i want to get em , but the rim width is 8.5 & i wonder if theyll rub the CA s at full turn. ive got a 1in. lift up front with 265/70/17 s on stock rims with no problems, but im not sure about the MKW width . just what im looking for though!
