New Satoshi/retrofit Grille MOD?

does anyone know who this is or know how they did this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_L71C518au8i) found this online his not responding at first i thought it was tacoma grill retro fitted but tbh i cant tell?

It looks like they retrofitted an early 1st gen Tacoma 1995.5-1997 grille with some craptastic aftermarket headlights and did a Satoshi using an early 80’s Toyota truck emblem. The HID’s on the bumper are blocking the grille too much to say for sure. Is it the emblem you were asking about specifically? They’re hard to come by from what I’ve read.

IMHO the 3rd gen looks good as is without having to do any crazy retrofits. Kinda reminds me of my import days when i shaved my door handles and molded all my bumpers on my turboed eclipse

He has swapped on the entire front clip from an early first gen Tacoma. Fenders, grill, and lights. You can tell.by the shape of the headlight and fenders. It's basically a bolt on and the retrofits are some.like 7 inch round light and a blinker made to look like the Spyder auto headlights.

They’re definitely 4runner fenders. Look at the 27 second mark. The hood changed in 2001 on the Tacos that would require a whole front end swap. It’s possible that the 4Runner hood & fenders line up with the early Tacoma grilles so that all that might be needed is to swap out the core suport to make the Taco grille work with the rest of the 4runner front end. Either way those headlights uke:

I was thinking they swapped the front clip from the early first gen tacos with the square headlights. Like this. Looking closer they definitely are 4runner fenders though so I'm really not sure. It is definitely "unique." My guess is the same as [MENTION=68460]Dezert4Runner[/MENTION] and they were able to just swap in the grill. The hoods on the early tacos look the same as the 4runner hood so Im going to go with that
