New savage Offroad rear bumper

Subject: Hydrid bumper

We split shipments to try to get all "other-non rear bumpers" parts out while waiting for final bumper parts to come from the laser cutter.

We will start shipping rears this week. All orders will ship based on order date, starting with the 12/24 sales. They are coming...we will let you know when it is ready to ship.

We wanted to give you an update on your Rear Bumper order. Your bumper is set to get started next week. It is scheduled to ship the following. We have had several delays with our laser cutter, but are on track and moving forward now. You will receive a tracking number as soon as the rear ships.

I got the same, with the addition of something to the effect of "delays with parts for the tire swing out have put those behind schedule. We are going to ship your bumper out as soon as its completed (slated for next week), and ship the tire swing (at our cost) out once parts come in for it."
I hadn't bugged them about time frames at all. Sounds like they are trying to dig back out of being buried in orders and some material sourcing problems. Just fyi for others wondering about their orders. Sounds like our bumpers may be neighbors on the assembly jig Will.

I understand what they are going through. In 2001 I had a RD shop that almost overnight became a production shop during the antrax attacks.

I was president of the company and my driver and I, in a brand new truck, were driving all over the Midwestern states chasing parts because nothing was flying or moving on time. That and every day we had incremental growth.

Keeping up with the schedule can be tuff, especially when the schedule changes every day, or in my past experience hourly. For awhile I lost money because I was shipping parts by over night currier, paying extreme overtime, and living on the road, or in DC. But I managed to keep customers happy, do what I could during the crisis, and make some money.

Some times excessive sales can really be good and sometimes keeping up can be a mother. Orderly growth is always best. Companies have gone under because incremental growth.

Reputation can be everything.

I think Savage will weather this, but I feel for the owner, because the stress can be really hard you.

Something we all have to remember is they are mainly a production company, sales and customer service is likely not their strong suit. As well as a small business, they likely do not have a designated office staff, so keeping the information flowing to the customers they have delayed, would likely cut into to production.

Hopefully, this will be a positive growth for Savage, and a good office staff is in the future.

I did get my sliders and I am very happy with them, and I am sure I will be happy with the bumper.

Yeah I'm waiting to see a couple pictures on a 4Runner that isn't spray painted camo and from some real life angles haha. I think this is the one I will go with though because of the price point and that it is only a half swing out I can keep my rear ladder.

I ordered mine 12/24/15...my email said JUST the bumper will ship before the swingout.
 
I got it on. Super easy to install.

They said 12 weeks for me. !! Placed my order on March 14!!!!!! Not trying to wait half a year for bumpers dude.
