New savage Offroad rear bumper

I too have a pre 2016 bumper and would like to order the tire carrier/swingout. have been waiting on the adapter. Does anyone have an info???

I've been waiting for a year in the add on swing for the other side. Not sure what's up with Roy

I called them a few months ago to put my name on the rear bumper swing out waiting list. I called for an update, he pushed it back a month, but this week will be closer to two months from their projected date. Still no word. He said that they were working out how to speed up production on the bumpers. I am guessing that hasn't happened yet. I think I will end up going another route.

How often does a rear tire drag when climbing obstacles. I have seen them hit and hang up a lot on the trail.

This is one reason during my design I have my tire up so high. It takes me personally about 3 steps to get it on due to personal limitations, but my dad can do it in a single. We are working on a lift setup for it so I could raise it from the ground. Here is a picture.


Yes I know its not a savage off road setup, but if people want to change it grinder + welder

Yeah, I totally understand. He has a business to run and he is trying to figure out a way to make bumpers turn faster. I really like the modular aspect of the bumper. He said that he was working on a few different bumper options besides the swing out as well, but did not really have an idea when that was going to shake out.

I look forward to seeing what he comes up with.

I don't know, but I CAN tell you that I was on the waiting list for a rear swing out bumper for about three months or so and got a notification last week that the bumper was "in stock". Maybe things are moving again.

It's too bad because I was 50/50 between the Savage and the 4X Innovations rear swing out bumper. I ended up going with the 4X Innovations bumper because the projected date for the Savage bumper to be available again came and went by the better part of 2 months. That and I didn't know if the swing out would be available, or if I would have to wait indefinitely for that to pop up.

Just give him a call. Roy is a nice guy and he could give you an idea. Let us know what he had to say.

He said that 2 of 3 options are ready - He just needs to mount and take pictures, post on website, get his quacks in a row to start taking orders.

The 3rd option needs to be put together for pictures, etc.

He will be posting all three options at the same time in a couple of weeks. We are realllly close.

Just ordered a bumper and dual swingouts from Savage. Most of you know I'm one of those anal retentive types that researches every aspect of everything that goes into or on my rig. This was a really hard decision to make. There are so many good options to go with. In the end it came down to a few things for me.

Savage has the best approach angle I could find. The bumper is lighter than all the others. Modularity of the design will make it easier for me to tweak what I want. Dual swingouts make opening in tighter spaces easier. Customer service also played a large role.

I just spent the past 20 minutes talking to Roy about his bumper. I covered everything with him I could think of. In the past 2 weeks I've talked to him twice. Both times my call was returned within an hour of it being placed. That's what every one who owns a business should strive for.

He's got everything back from the laser cutter for the units except for the hi-lift mount. He's currently in the process of refining the design. There off for vacation next week so I'd expect the site to be updated towards the end of July. I just couldn't wait any longer. lol

I just received my rear bumper from Roy. He does great work, and the bumper is built very nice. I am now waiting for him to build my front bumper. The wait is worth it with Savage. Great products.

what accessory did you get on your second swing out? or did you just buy the swingout?

Second swingout will carry my hi-lift and two 4 gallon Rotopax. So those are the options I got. I'll most likely mount my tread boards on the spare, but that's something I can fab myself.
