Yep. If I push on the tire, you can watch the bumper flexing where the swingout bolts on.

So you guys that have vibrations, have you replaced your rear body mounts with Sonoran Steel rear body mounts?

They should be a standard addition for anyone adding a rear swing out bumper.
I have the 4X Innovations rear swing out with the SS body mounts. I would say the rear wheel only vibrates very minorly when going over significant roadway transitions, like railroad tracks. But in general, it's not doing a lot of consistent back and forth vibrating.

I run stock body mounts. Again, like I said. No issues. No vibrations. Even when off roading
Then the build quality is inconsistent. You can literally watch my bumper deform under the weight of the swingout while latched & driving. The red handle is adjusted appropriately. Everything is torqued.

By "deform" are you talking about flex? Post up some shots of your helm joint, swing arm, and latch.
It's in storage right now, this is all I have. The right half of the bumper sags under the weight of the swingout while stationary. It wobbles in this way while driving.
Yellow is aligned to body, red is aligned to bumper.

Yeah, I could see the gap before I even looked at the last photo. Nice touch with the lines.
My tires mounted farther to the passenger side but other than that it's pretty much the same set-up. If I grab my tire and lift up or push down my truck moves before the bumper does. Have you talked to Roy about it?
Hmmm... I can understand a little bit of flex in the steal. That's normal. I'm sure every swingout has some flex in it.
I have my handle the other way.
Did you check your mounting bolts that are on the frame ? Has your 4runner ever been into a accident ?take a photo with the swingout opened.

I need to get in touch with him. I kinda assumed they were all like this, but it sounds like that's not the case. Here's another terrible example pic if anyone else is having this issue.

I will try and snap a photo tomorrow of mine and see how it compares.
I ended up reversing the handle as well (my last pic is the current config.)
Zero accidents, low-ish mileage (95k). Bumper has been on for probably a year, but only ~1k miles.
I won't be able to take any more pictures until the next time I see it, probably a couple weeks.

Mine is mounted same as yours. When latched I can push on the top of my spare and make it flex quite easily. 4 wheeling it sways back and forth. And I have even tightened the latch so tight that I can't open the lever. It makes it slightly better, but it still sways - and I can't open the swingout without loosening the latch.

You guys are making me want to put both my CBIs up for sale and buy these instead of modify them to fit my Body Lift..... :twitch::twitch::twitch:
The front, I'm liking the hoops over the headlights more and more, and that's because the top horizontal piece appears to be truly horizontal, not at an angle due to the shape of the middle hoop as some bumpers are. I want those hoops so I can insert screens in there and protect my headlight glass from rocks when needed.
The rear, I LOVE the double swing out idea!!! Enough said!
