New site, Can u update the bumper from 96 to 99

i wrecked the bumper the other day on my 97, i searched on the toyotanation i had been a member on for some time, but no one there can help me ever, i don't think they know much, i would like to have the same bumper my brothers 99 4runner has on it, from what i see in diagrams i don't see why it couldn't be done, same bolt location from what i can see, but id like to know if it's been tried and will work or not, before i spend the money.
