new soft top design for 1st gen 4runners

For those of you who want a cheap soft top for your 4runners that you can take on and off very quickly, I put up website describing a soft top I made:

If there is any interest, I can post more details and suggestions on the site. The pros of the top are that it is cheap, can be taken on and off quickly, and is totally transparent. The cons are that the adhesive on the velcro doesn't stick to metal/cheap paint jobs very well and the top isn't the most stylin' thing you've ever seen.

pretty cool! i suppose you could make one out of black canvas with a clear vinyl window in the back as well, that would look sharp.

solution to the velcro adhesive problem?

i think the solution to the velcro adhesive not sticking well to the metal/bad paint jobs is to use high energy magnetic strips instead of velcro. they're $40 for 100 feet and probably strong enough to hold the top on.

it would be easier to make the top and really easy to put it on and take it off. if anyone tries this, let me know how it goes.
